Booking a family room first floor next the reception wasnt a good choice as it was very noisy ,full of voices so if you are seeking a calm room dont choose first floor!

- the bed mattress was so bad . - They gave me unclean towel ( and it was in good package but not clean ) but i told them and they gave me a new one .

This well-located hotel is within walking distance of Alexandria's most important sites. It is also in a very quiet part of town, a rarity in Egypt. The breakfast is copious. This hotel is a good address to keep and share with friends.

The bed was a little bit hard and short.

Very friendly staff. I got a big room with very nice balcony and view towards the church. Qiet aere except for the school acrosd the street. Bathroom, aircon, TV, all was fine.

There is No wardrobe"cupboard" in the Single Room I did have Unfortunately and it was A Very Small Room which is not very Helpful at all!

I loved so much the Location of the Hotel! The Staff are Very Helpful and So Kind! Even the Kettle is Helpful and Room Service is Good! Hotel is looking as a commercial building from inside, converted as hotel.

Room was good, Location also in the mid of the city, corniche nearby 1 to 2 km, the hotel passage and room interior too old but clean. Facility is ok as per their rating and cost. Staffs were good and supportive. Overall good experience.

First and to me the most important: MY DREAM being crushed right on arrival and on and off during the entire stay !!! Some facts: My life long fascination with Alexander the Great MADE ME CHOOSE the only city hotel bearing HIS name and expect ....MUCH MORE: a hotel matching the hero high sky reputation. And so I expected a bigger, better located and certainly more comfortable hotel. What I got was mostly average (ex. location on a hard to find little, unattractive street although not too far from a big street....for those who knew how to navigate the area) . Or (and that TOPS ALL: a little, really very little, not much bigger than the bed WINDOWLESS room !!!! Yes, my room was a half or one fourth of the original big room or a specially build little section of some contemporary interior multi-room construction to "make more with less" (more money with the the least money, effort and time for the owner). I am not sure such windowless tiny rooms should be allowed to be offered to tourists (who deserve to wake up by the bright SUN of EGYPT). I am sure that Alexander the Great --the hero we learned about in history books is turning is his grave with shock !!! I AM SURE Egypt would benefit more by making sure that its GREAT HISTORIC HEROS NAMES represent the right objects and stuctures of contemporary Egypt. The hotel owners/managers should seriously consider SERIOUS UPGRADES and subsequently, OH YES, making MORE for tourists less for themselves (perhaps only for the short run). Consider me a PAID by YOU (trip from Poland included) the first guest to experience the necessary upgrade I am talking here about.

It is a properly run hotel where key things go as expected: checking in, checking out, acceptab;e degree of comfort/discomfort. Intending to treat this hotel (as I treat other hotels in the world) as MAINLY a place to sleep (being busy all days with outside activities) --I had NO GRAVE REASON to complain (which does not mean that I always liked).

It was cold at night in winter, they don't have heating, but I think that's true for all Egypt

There were curtains in the bathroom and two bottles of water, that's nice. I liked the breakfast and the size of a room. Location is perfect. Had no troubles with late check-in

Upgraded from my single room to a double. For an extra $4usd I got a room with a wonderful balcony looking into the courtyard of the Greek church! It was fantastic. Good breakfast and hot water. Perfect base to explore Alexandria. Lovely walk along the corniche to the citadel or the bibliotheca. Clothing Market on every night with plenty of food places. Lots of families and friend groups walking around and friendly smiles and hellos. It’s a working neighbourhood so expect mechanic shops etc near the hotel. Just a great value place.

Mosquitoes at night were really annoying. Maybe the hotel should add mosquito nets to the beds. It would make the stay excellent!
