How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

Everything was fine.
Nice little guesthouse on the quiet street. Walking distance from everywhere. Reception-man was a nice person and helpull.

Only one window had a blind on it. We stayed the week of the summer solstice, so it was way too bright in the room.
Great location - walkable to old town. Free parking onsite. Comfortable beds.

Very thin walls, that was how I chatted to my neighbor never seeing him.
Guest house in a quiet neighborhood. Grocery and market are nearby with huge variety of cafes. Close to historical part of the city. Private parking

Very welcoming host - comunicates in all languages I know...she even knows more than I. Very clean and stylish room. Full packed kitchen for all I would like have. Safe parking in closed yard. Very close to Old Tallinn center. Great public transport options. Close to cattering places.

Not very comfortable blankets that for some reason bunched up in the comforter cover at night and had to be re-spread.
A lovely guesthouse on a quiet street in Kalamaja. Perfect for a peaceful overnight stay, with the chance to explore the surroundings in the morning. You can easily walk to the trendy new seaside districts or Lennusadam, and the Old Town is just a pleasant 10-15 minute stroll away. We’ll definitely stay here again. The rooms are a bit worn with age, but we actually liked it. They have a charming, nostalgic feel that reminded us of our first visits to Tallinn fifteen years ago.

Very cozy authentic historical building, in the quiet area, walking distance to old town, station, market and supermarket. Very friendly staff, clean room, comfortable bed. Possibility to use the kitchen ( have all utensils, coffee, bread and etc.). Private parking no extra cost. Amazing value for money.

The bathroom was very tight, sitting on the toilet with your legs pushed against the door isn't ideal. Kitchen was clean and nice, but could've been better equipped.
Check-in and check-out was very quick and easy, staff was friendly. The back yard was full of apple trees, which I was encoured by the landlady to pick apples from (they were delicious).

Realy good location in center of Tallin city, clean and comfortable room with bath and toilet, kichen with all necessary stuff downstairs, comfortable beds. Closed parking place.

Good location, free parking, polite and helpful staff. Decent size room. Mini fridge. Dark night curtains. Ventilator was great at hot day. On the ground floor was communal kitchen with tea, coffee, hot chocolate facilities. Location near by Telliskivi and Noblessner. Overall our stay was comfortable and pleasant. Price was very friendly for Tallinn.

Could do with a touch up , parts of the bedroom looked little worn
Private parking, great location, close by many restaurants & cafe options! Few supermarkets not too far away ! A small guesthouse , so never going to be very busy ! It is a good place for a short stay , clean tidy and good size room ! Overall a good stay and easy to get to from the ferry port ! Comfortable bed Good sized bathroom Communication was ok
