Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

GermanyNo curtains for the windows, so it gets bright early in the morning. The furniture isn't the newest but that's all part of the vibe :)
It's a beautiful place! Spacious and clean room and a nice little kitchen with most things you could need. We didn't have enough time (or sun), but there are boats you can use and the garden is nice (except for the mosquietos :))

IsraelThe rooms has something a bit weird, especially the one upstairs. We got two single beds under a slanted ceiling, and had to pull them out towards the center of the room and switch them around with the night table to avoid hitting our heads when getting up or lying down. The windows had some decorative piece of fabric but no curtains or blinds, meaning the sunlight hit us smack in the face from like 5:00 am… this seems to be common in the Baltic area, the lack of curtains… overall it would be an awesome place, if only they had curtains, moved the beds and added some extra hooks to the walls for towels and clothes…
The location and layout of the place were super nice, the staff were polite and helpful. The rooms were nice. The air was perfect. The river canoe activity was super fun. The breakfast in the common kitchen was good.

IrelandThere was no downside to the property at all.
Though breakfast is not included, they helped me out with shopping. The kitchen had everything needed. I got to stay in the tree house, I loved it, so snug and cosy. The people running the place were great and went out of their way to help me out. I would very much like to go back if I can.

LithuaniaI prefer sleeping on a more firm mattress - but ultimately this is a matter of everyone’s standard of comfort.
The property is in a very subtle and soft style, with a lot of elements of coziness, but not excessive. Very high level of quality. Very clean and comfortable. The landlady was exceptionally welcoming and caring. And at the same time - giving space.

GermanyBeautiful place at the river in the national park, well maintained. Hosts are very friendly. We liked everything about it. Hiking and biking and bathing in the river and the moor pools were just great. Just make sure to bring your own food. The next grocery store is some 15 kilometers away. We arrived by bus (one bus per day) and rented bikes from the owners for a very low price. So it was fun and challenge at the same time to go to the next local pub/restaurant about 9 kilometers away for lunch and a beer. But we were happy that we had bought our food for breakfast and dinner in Pernu in advance.

United KingdomThe shared kitchen was not good. People in the downstairs apartments treated like their own living room. We had the large room upstairs and that would have been much better if the had put in a small kitchen - just a sink and a hob would do.
Great room and in a great location

GermanyNot really anything. The water pressure of the shower could be higher, but given that we are in the middle of a national parc, this is totally fine.
I wish I could have stayed longer. The rooms are spacious, so cute and so clean. Our room was located in one of those typical beautiful old wooden houses. There are mosquito nets in front of the window. The kitchen is modern and has a dishwasher. There are plenty of options to sit outside: hanging chairs, sun loungers, hammocks under beautiful big trees. Tables on a roof terrace. The garden is huge! There is always an orchestra of birds and insects singing. The garden is located right at the river. There are many activities that you can book. And the cherry on top: there is a cat! 🐈 And the WIFI works very well.

AustraliaI wasn’t sure about the property based on how the outside looked but don’t let this deter you - it was a nice place to stay. We got a little lost trying to find the communal kitchen area though and tried to open someone else’s door - oops.
The room was comfortable and the property is gorgeous. It’s really easy to kick back and relax in this location.

FinlandBeautiful and peaceful location next to the river. Lovely and very hospitable owner. We stayed in the treehouse which was perfect for us and our dog. The bed upstairs was very comfortable. Did a 4,8km walk in the nearby bog in the evening which was beautiful in the sunset. Next time we want to stay for more than one night.

BelgiumSecond floor of the tree house, which is a large bed, is a bit difficult to get into, but it's part of the experience so no true negative.
Location in the middle of the national park was really nice, the tree house was cute. The common kitchen is an added value, as well as the river where you can swim or row a boat. The atmosphere is relaxing, completely stress free. Host helped us to arrange a canoe trip as well.

SwitzerlandThe only place to stay when visiting Soomaa NP. Very new wooden house, spotlessly clean. Great communal area with hammocks and lounge chairs, swimming in the river is possible. Hotel arranges also programme like guided canoe tour or self-conducted trips. We had a nice guided evening tour, which lasted almost 3 hours. Haven't seen any beavers or larger wildlife, with 80 E per person not a cheap activity but worth it to take in the nature.

United KingdomThe shared kitchen can be busy at times, but this is a small thing that it is easy to plan around by choosing to cook at quieter times or choosing meals that need little cooking. Would have been nice to have curtains too to help make the room dark with the short nights, but again this wasn't a big issue for us.
We had a brilliant time, and are already planning to stay again. Our room was phenomenal - really comfy, spacious, lovely views, and the jacuzzi bath was a real highlight. Nice to have the mini fridge in the room too. The grounds are just wonderful - lots of places to sit outside to eat, hammocks/swing chairs to enjoy the views and really lovely to be able to use the rowing boats free of charge or swim in the river. Would highly recommend a stay here!
