How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Verified reviewIt was a very spacious, clean comfortable room. It had everything we needed. It also has a small shipping center very near. It was also reasonably priced in a city that everything is overpriced
It is away from Tallinn. Not too far but you have to drive 15-20 minutes for Tallinn.

As in any wooden building - noise insulation is not perfect.

Verified reviewThe hostel is a former cottage with several bedrooms transformed to the hostel rooms. Comfortable beds with very good bed clothes. Cheerful staff. Kind and friendly dog living in the hostel. Supermarket is in 5 min by foot.
No air conditioner. The host lady allowed us to take one large mobile conditioner from another floor, and it was super heavy. However, we could not sleep without it in the family room. The swimming pool was dry and it seems, that has not been used for ages.

Verified reviewI was travelling both for my work and to celbrate my special full decade-birthday in Tallinn. I have travelled much regularly but seldom have I met this bad service at an acommodation. The owners had a big size fightning dog which during my accommodation run without warning multiple times trying to bite my little, kind lapdog. It came with showing it´s teeth and I barely managed to take my dog to my arms to rescue it getting biten. I was afraid of the dogs behavior and asked the owners to keep it away but they did not keep the dog in leash. This dog also during the night was kept on the other side od my accommodation door. I had to carry my dog out of the house each time to avoid the dog. My room was noisy and without any soundproof door. All noise came to the room from the common kitchen and outher guests came even in the middle of night to knock and ask whether I was the reception. Owners started to yell at me and defend their dog´s behavior when I had to mention about it. According to ownes´s I had no right to exit my room with my dog. The man in the house was yelling at my face and I had to leave early and consider calling the Police. They were complaing of my request to return the money for the nigth left unused and offered no apologies either of their aggressive dog or my concerns of my and my dogs safety and well being at the accommodation. They even started mention that my dogs stay was without a fee even no fee was ever required. My dog is small, well behaving lapdog. Owners provided no cleaning for the room during the entire week. I used the kitchen 2 times per day and during this use owners themselves kept the dinig table for their own use, threw food to their dogs mouth from the table and repetedly run to see what I was doing in the kitchen while I was cooking my own food.
When you come to hostel together with your dog I had tell you many times that you have to keep your dog in your room, you can not let your dog go out in kitchen or hostel living room, because my dog can be scare your dog. ( My dog is just want to scare your dog and she never bite your dog, but you get so crazy ) Remember that ours dog never bite or hurt your dog. When you bring your dog out of the house for toilet or another things then my dog never do any thing, just only when you let your dog free inside house. That why I tell you many times have to keep your dog in your room. But you never listen and you do how you want, you let your do come to kitchen and living room every time when you cook or you go to kitchen or living room, that why have problem between 2 dogs. You come to screaming on us why we do not lock ours dog when your dog is in kitchen or living room, you come to hostel you have to follow the rules is keep dog in the room, but you all the time take your dog in kitchen and living room when you cook or do something, you make me very angry but I talk very calm with you many time that have to keep your dog in room, just bring your dog out off the house when you want but can not let your dog free in house. Look like you come here to make problem. You start screaming on us first when you not right. If you keep your dog in the room then this problem never happens. You are the one who want to make problem. You also stated to beat and kick so hard the room door and want to destroy room door, you also come to kick my dog, that why we can not keep you like a customer and have to ask you move out and pay money back to you in cash even i have to pay commission for booking. You did not want to move out even we tell that pay you money back, untill we tell you if you do not move out then we have to call police to invite you out of house then you agree to move. Thing about how you behave. In the time when you in hostel you never ask to clean your room, we just come to clean when customers ask for clean if they need. We can not go to your room and clean without your asking. The kitchen is public, I also sometimes come to kitchen to take food, and the dining table are also public, every people can come to seat for eatting and you too, this table have many chairs. How can I take away dining take from you. I come to kitchen when you cook just to take my food, why I need to look and check how you do in kitchen. I also offer you come to another better room for same money but you even don't want to talk with me and do not want move to another room. If you tell that the room you stay is noisy and some guest come to knock your room door, why you don't move to another room ? Ours place is small just have some rooms all the guest have my contact when they need some things they will call me or go to my place to ask, I don't believe that they come to knock on your room door. I also first time hear that guest come to knock this room, never have another guest complain about that. But if you tell right then we sorry about that. We open hostel for business and we keep always friendly and helpful for guest, we never want to have any problems. But like you stay here don't follow the rules, do how you want, screaming, beat and kick door, kick ours dog, disturb another guest. You start problems then we can not keep you in hostel because your behavior. We do what rights things but we can not please everything what you want. Please thing that how is your behave.

Verified reviewFriendly staff, showed around the shared kitchen which was really nice, gave us a lot of privacy, rooms were spacious with balcony. Price was fine considering rooms were booked at night of The Weeknd concert in Tallin. Location is quiet and nice, a litte bit far from center but with a car its not a problem at all as there is no traffic in thar area.
Not sure if its "pet friendly". We were visiting with a medium sized dog and we were met by a guard dog of similar size about which we didnt know. And it was quite aggressive as it tried to snap by dog through the fence. The host took their dog away, but next morning i met the guard dog alone in yard and it was about to bite my dog but luckily when i intervened it went away.
