We had a very good stay here! The room was comfortable and the beds were excellent. The double bed was actually made of two single beds put together, which worked out perfectly for us as a couple – it was spacious, comfortable, and we slept really well. The hotel has a beautiful courtyard, very pleasant and relaxing, and our room had a large window facing the garden, which made it bright and enjoyable. Overall, a very comfortable and pleasant stay that we would definitely recommend.

We really liked this hotel and stayed here twice. The rooms were spacious, clean, and comfortable, with good AC. The beautiful green patio with plenty of seating was perfect for relaxing. The location is ideal, near the end of the main tourist street, so it’s quieter but still just steps from everything you need. The staff were always very friendly and helpful, and we appreciated being able to store our large luggage twice for several days without any issues. There is also a well equipped shared kitchen.

As the window faced the courtyard, we had to close the curtains for privacy, but that was not a big problem.

WiFi dropped in room some times. Not a big deal but it's good to know. Showers are slow to heat but staff made this really clear at start!

Location was amazing sp close to shops, pier for excursions and beach/ darwin centre. Very chilled out atmosphere. Hammocks/ common areas very relaxing. Great price for ensuite room

This hotel was located in the perfect location, making it easy to explore the area. The staff was very welcoming and friendly, and our rooms were clean and comfortable. Free drinking water in the lobby was a nice bonus. We loved the garden in the central courtyard.

If you book it with breakfast, just bear in mind it’s served very early, from 6-7.30am. It took us aback a bit at first, but we actually ended up enjoying it, as it allowed us to make the most of our days and have breakfast before our tour!

We really enjoyed our stay at Morning Glory! It doesn’t look like much from the outside, but once you step through the doors it’s really lovely. The rooms are basic but have everything you need. There’s also hammocks and lots of seating around the courtyard. Ruben was a beacon of information, which really helped us optimise our plans on the island! He’s also travelled a lot and has lots of stories. We really enjoyed the breakfast, which is especially convenient for early tours etc. Would definitely stay here again!

Excellent location, walking distance from everything. Lovely host with good recommendations for things to do and helped us set up a bike rental and taxi. The inner courtyard is beautiful with lots of plants, flowers, and hammocks to relax. We opted to pay a little extra for breakfast, which was worth it - great food, something different every day, and nice conversation with the host. We stayed twice in two different rooms. We preferred the one in the back (there was a bit of noise in the one near the street) but both had good showers and comfortable beds. Great value for the price!

There are small steps on the property. Our room had a step down to enter the room and a small step up to the bathroom. These sometimes took me by surprise.

Breakfast was eggs, large bowl of fruit, toast and coffee. All freshly prepared. There are mural of the local wildlife.

I had a fantastic stay at this hostel/hotel during my trip to the Galapagos, the location is perfect - just a couple of minutes away from the harbour, shops, the Charles Darwin Research Center, and there's many options for breakfast in nearby bars (which can also be arranged on location). My room was exceptionally spacious and spotlessly clean, with a huge, comfortable bed that made it easy to relax after long days of exploring. Daniel, the owner, was outstanding - always ready with helpful tips and local insights that made my experience on the islands even better. The hostel is a true family business, run for generations, and you can feel that welcoming, personal touch throughout your stay. The atmosphere was cosy, warm and inviting, and I especially loved spending time in the beautiful inner garden, which was perfect for unwinding. The team also went above and beyond to help me arrange day tours, making my visit seamless and stress-free. If I return to the Galapagos, I will definitely stay at Morning Glory Hostel again!

Check out is 9.30am which is too early, then they came knocking at 9am to get me out sooner. Their dogs non stop barking in the evening. The whole place is a bit faulty towers!
