Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.

EcuadorRoom The ocean view room had a window/door that had a very flimsy lock, this window/door opened to a balcony that was connected to all the other rooms. There's no partition or screen, so you can literally see inside all the rooms that have a balcony. It does not feel private or very safe. Note: The hotel makes you sign a document that says they are not responsible for things missing from your room. On the ocean view room, there's a safe. There's no safe on the non-ocean view room. The non-ocean view room was located on the ground floor, close to the door that leads to the pool, this was awful because you could hear all the noise from people at the pool area. People who want to rest, shouldn't book a room near the pool or the hotel should work on noise proofing. Pool/Sauna The pool was VERY dirty. The sauna did not work. Wifi Is very unstable, specially on the ground floor. Breakfast/food Breakfast was not very good, coffee was awful, no fruit, soft boiled egg was runny and had eggshells and a scrambled egg had a hair on it, we sent them back and they took 20min to serve the new one. They serve breakfast from 8 to 10am, we had breakfast at 09h30 and staff said there was no fruit left and only one option for juice. We asked for food (like lunch or dinner), they said they only offer pool-side food (french fries, fried chicken, etc) Hotel staff They were nice but not very useful. They helped us change rooms once but did nothing for fixing the wifi, the sauna, a problem with a TV that did not work. They said we should complain online so that the owners would fix the problems at the hotel. Hotels in Montañita (in general) must improve their service and premises. We have stayed at at least 5 others and they are worse than this one in different aspects. IF in the future I have to stay in Montañita and have no other option available, I would stay here again. Otherwise I would go to other hotels at Ayampe, that are significantly better.
In my opinion, the best part of this hotel was the location. It was walking distance from the center of Montañita, it's connected by the beach and a pier/bridge that connects different parts of Montañita. We reserved one room with a ocean view and one room without a view. The one with a view was nice, you can see the ocean and some beach cabins/restaurants, the other one had a view to the parking lot. The bed was confortable and the pillows were nice. Both rooms had a/c. The hotel looks nice from afar. The parking lot looks safe, has security cameras, nothing happened to our vehicle.
