How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Verified reviewThis is one of those accommodations where you won't want to leave. The location is incredible. Our children were able to play on the beach and in the sea, and we could see them at all times from the terrace. The accommodation is very modern and has plenty of space. It's clean and is cleaned every day. My children, my wife, and I would definitely give this accommodation and the location more than 10 points if possible. The location is perfect. Right on the beach but only a 2-minute walk to the center.

Unfortunately, we had a bit of an issue with bugs during our stay. Thankfully they were willing to move us to another location down the beach. The place has amazing views, but you should note there is no AC downstairs, only upstairs. The place could have been cleaner during our stay, but hopefully it is a one off experience. We appreciate them working with us to make the situation better.

Verified reviewAbsolutely fantastic apartment - beachfront with private terrace with sun loungers, practically on the beach. They allowed us early check in and the last day we could leave the luggages in their other property nearby, so we swim on the beach till the last moment as they provide us the towels too, perfect service!

Problems were addressed within their remit and capability eg. when I reported cockroaches, I was bought a spray to deal with them. When fans stopped working, a stand-alone fan was brought, one was fixed via the power point, the other needed an unavailable replacement part. When I told them it was impossible to use any electronics from the kitchen table and sofa, an extension cord was brought upon my request. All within 24 hours. Logistics are a constant in an island environment, however ultimately the owners/management are responsible to ensure things run smoothly.
I did enjoy most elements of my stay, but there are serious issues that need addressing by the owners/management. 1. The property needs a comprehensive overhaul and up-date. eg. fixtures and fittings need replacing, usable power points are non-existent, switches are unreachable... the snagging/repair list is extensive. 2. Cockroaches in a kitchen and bedroom are unacceptable. Totally. 3. Noise. To be woken every night and disturbed throughout the day by the water pump filling after using any water facility in the whole property ie. shower, lavatory, sinks, is unacceptable. Totally. 4. The neighbour's daughter daily uses the front of each apartment as a cut-through. She walks straight over the wooden decking within a few feet of occupied sun-loungers with a cocky, arrogant, youngsters grin. She and her parents have been repeatedly asked to stop this intrusion to no avail, by management, myself, and my French neighbours. For the money paid, the lack of sleep, and the daily issues that needed to be attended to, the property was vastly overpriced for a sole client. I must commend Mi Playas staff. Verified reviewFantastic location, ocean front. It’s spacious. Beds were comfortable. The kitchen was well equipped. Someone was waiting for us when we arrived. Host responsive and aways willing to assist. Wifi worked well. We would stay there again! It is our favourite place we stayed in the Galapagos so far.
We had a few bumps but nothing that prevented us from really enjoying our stay + the host was responsive. I think when visiting the Galapagos, you need to be realistic about your expectations and be patient. Resources are limited, it’s not perfect but who cares, you are in the Galapagos!

Verified reviewWow, talk about privacy plus feeling like you are at the end of the road, with nothing for thousands of miles! The world and all of its problems are not going to intrude as long as you’re here! This spacious luxury home with the private palm trees to shield you in comfort. Samy and friends can help plan meals, also book many different tours on this island where you can see semi-active volcanoes, snorkeling was phenomenal with all the wildlife in the sea, plus on land. Do yourself a favor and stay for as long as you can! The world can wait for your return…

Verified reviewGreat location, right on the beach. Very spacious for a family of 4. Large kitchen and pots and pans for cooking which we did not.
The property is poorly maintained. The worst was the drain in the shower which drained so slowly that we took showers standing in a water puddle 2" deep by the end of the shower. The lock on the front door has rusted. Our bathroom door did not lock at all. No railings in the stairs. Unsafe and unsuitable for people with small children. The property would be much more attractive if small repairs were done.

Verified reviewBreakfast was really amazing, they deliver meals right to the suits in the morning at comfortable time. The place itself is very cozy and we liked the ocean waves murmuring all the day and night long. The view is super classy. As a bonus there's a perfect work place right ahead the suit with a great table made of natural wood. All conveniences/venues/groceries are close to the place.
The door lock is an actual ass hurt. Should be fixed.
