The neighborhood is definitely not what you would conventionally call charming

Good clean, well equipped rooms just a couple minute walk from the station. Some small roadside stands selling food nearby too. The wifi was really good too.

The location itself is a bit intimidating and we didn’t feel safe enough to go out for dinner (not the hostels fault just a comment on the location). We did however order a pizza to the Hostal which was quick and easy done.

They provided an excellent breakfast. The room was great and the facilities safe and secure. Staff was extremely helpful and accommodating. Very close to both the church we wanted to attend as well as the local bus terminal (2 blocks and 1 block away respectively). Highly recommend this place.

Perfect place to stay before taking the bus to Mindo. It is located only 2 mins walk from the bus station. The hotel is simple but worked very well for us. We stayed here on our first night in Ecuador and then headed straight to Mindo for a few nights. The staff were very lovely and incredibly helpful!

For this price, you cannot compla8n about anything. If you are a light sleeper, bring ear plugs. There is a lot of street noise early in the morning.

Cheap and cheerful. Very close to the bus station. Nice to have a microwave available in the shared lobby.

- not the safest/nicest neighbourhood without restaurants or supermarkets - small rooms, shower lukewarm - a bit cold and noisy because windows couldn‘t be closed fully

Great jumping off point for catching the Bus to Mindo in the morning (3‘ walk to la Ofelia terminal, north of Quito). Breakfast is served from 8:00 which was too late for us.

Disgusted. Not as described in ad. No view and no minibar/fridge. No where to eat. Area very unsafe. Shower not working, towels filthy, shower rail held up by tissue which collapse when shower curtain pulled aside, bedside lights not working due to unsafe electric wiring and tv not working. Area is next to bus depot where buses park for the night and head out again from 5am. Basically worst stay ever. Can provide photos if required.

I tried to find someone working there because I couldn’t figure out how to get hot water from the shower, and I couldn’t find anyone and wasn’t sure where to look. I wasn’t a fan of the breakfast, though I appreciate that one was offered, as there are not many food options close by. The front gate is locked with a padlock, and you need to find someone to unlock it if you want to leave, though going out after dark is not recommended at least for solo female travellers.

I stayed at La Estacion Hostal for one night before a bus trip to Mindo. The biggest plus is the location very close to the Ofelia bus terminal (2 minute walk). The Hostal organized an airport pick-up, which worked very well. The room was large and clean. Also, there is a kettle in the room, which is a huge plus. Staff were friendly, though not always easy to locate. I would stay again for a night before catching a bus from Ofelia.

There are blinds missing in the window of our 1st floor room, meaning you have no privacy.

It's location to the bus stop was good. The room was large and has an electric kettle in it The staff was friendly, with our limited knowledge of each other's languages, we did well.
