How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

Perfect place to stay in San Cristobal. Run by a family, they were so helpful and kind. They even picked us up from the airport and arranged a taxi for our early ferry. The room was perfect, with a cute kitchen area and pool. Walk to town was easy - don’t let it put you off!

We loved our stay ! They have spacious , clean and very comfortable rooms . The pool was nice and relaxing The host and owner Fernando it’s the best ! He was very attentive always willing to help He will call the taxi and he stayed with us until we got inside the taxi .

Beautiful room in a quiet location. Located 10 blocks from downtown area with all of the restaurants and souvenir shops. 12 minute walk or $2 taxi ride. Staff were very friendly and willing to answer any questions and assist in any way requested. Room was awesome! Our family slept comfortably, with each of our three kids having their own bed. They ensured we had someone waiting at the airport to greet and transport us to the hotel upon arrival. Thank you for helping our time in San Cristobal be so pleasant!

The laundry service was expensive compared to laundry services in the town.
The staff and facilities were very nice. Free water and possibility to make coffee and tea which were also provided for free. Also complimentary breakfast in form of fruit and cookies are a nice touch

Shower was a little temperamental on temperature but no big deal

Shower was pathetic and the only reason it's not a 100% score. Otherwise perfect.
Lovely hosts who couldn't do enough to help make our short stay perfect. Well equipped room with comfortable bed. Nice outdoor area and small pool. Right at the top of town so very quiet. Excellent WiFi.

The accommodation is 15 minutes walk to the seafront, but taxis are $2 so it was not a problem considering the price.
Great value for money, it was clean and comfortable.

San Cristobal is small and the location is about 4 or 5 blocks from the Malecon. I have a hip problem so did not want to waste energy walking back and forth into town so we used a taxi, but it really was not a problem because taxis are only $2 anywhere in town and run up and down the street they are on all day.
The breakfast was amazing. The attentive serice from Andrea was our favorite. She was always available to answer questions for us and if she was not available her father was very helpful. They run another property across the street with cabanas and this property has 4 rooms surrounding a small pool and a shared kitchen area. We couldn not have asked for anything better.

Amazing property. We loved it and didn’t want to leave. Modern fittings, comfy beds with good bedding. Fridge in the room is great. Super lovely hosts that gave us extras like wine and chocolates! Kitchen good for light meals and just a really welcoming stay. They gave us towels for the pool as well which was a nice touch.

The Pimampiro was an amazing place to stay on my trip to San Cristobal. The room was large, the bed was enormous, the shower always had hot water & a very quiet fridge ( some are really noisy at night). Breakfast was very good quality products & they catered to my dietary needs with understanding & kindness. The hosts were exceptional people, Andrea was very attentive, helpful & informative in all aspects of my stay. I couldn’t have asked for more from her or her father, who was very professional and friendly in his interactions. I would love to stay again if I return to Cristobal.

The location is bit off from the restaurants, maybe 10 min. walk.
Great, beautiful room. Breakfast was very nice. Also the hosts were very friendly and tried to do all their best to make it a pleasant stay.

The location could be better as it's pretty much at the edge of town, but it's not a big nuisance given that Puerto Baquerizo Moreno is really little. If you need to sleep with the A/C on it's a bit on the noisy side -although we slept very comfortably with just the fan on and didn't need the A/C.
This is a great a family-owned little hotel. Both the common areas and the rooms are thoughtfully and beautifully decorated. Andrea and his family are wonderful hosts; they came to pick us up at the airport and dropped us off at the ferry port although we didn't ask for it, and gave us great tips to enjoy our stay on San Cristobal. They also provide drinking water, which is great. Finally, there is warm, yellow light in the room, which is pretty rare to find in Ecuador in our experience, as pretty much without exception the other places we stayed in had only bright, white light bulbs.
