How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

Great place to stay in Puerto Baquerizo Moreno! It is a 5 minute ride to the airport (the Hostal will provide you a shuttle to the airport). It is a 5 minute walk into town. The Hostal is very well-maintained and homey. Perfect place to stay after a cruise, or for a longer stay in San Cristobal!

Owner of the property entered my room when I was resting without knocking
Great location, a bit on a side but only 10 mins walking from the port where trips depart. Very spacious and sunny room, balcony, large property so I felt very independent, there was fridge and kettle in the room, coffee and tea, also water was available.

Lovely large room with good size bathroom, access to spacious terrace. Ronnie was so welcoming and helpful with taking us to and from the airport and tell us all the things to do. The room was cleaned every day with fresh towels, water etc. Location really good. Would definitely recommend.

It was súper clean. Best ac so far in our trip. Great people. Very close to malecón. We got a free ride to Airport. All I can say is look nowhere else this is the place to stay at San Cristóbal.

The walk from the airport to the hostal. It is ok if you have a packbag but not so good if you are carrying a big luggage with wheels, as part of the road is with gravel.
The service was amazing. The room spatious and super clean, the bed comfortable. Really a good experience. You get water for free and the possibility to wash and dry your own clothes.

Thought the breakfast was a bit pricey for what it was, especially as the coffee offered was just instant coffee which was provided in the room anyway. Shower temperature was a bit hard to control.
Room was very comfortable and clean. Staff were lovely and really helpful, and were able to assist with organising tours. Location is a little further out, but was very quiet. Great WiFi.

There were a few windows that couldn't be covered, which let in light, making the room difficult to make dark. Nothing a sleep mask can't solve.
I liked the location right near downtown but away from all the noise. The beds were comfortable and the AC was nice and cool. The breakfast was good too

Nothing. All good. One small comment, on Booking.com it says you can pay by credit card but I had to pay in cash.
The family that run the hotel are very friendly and welcoming. The location is slightly out of the centre which is great because it is quiet. The room was great, the breakfast was good and it was very clean and safe

Todo perfecto
Perfect stay, great location, but most of all the staff make you feel like family. One person in our group got sick and the staff took care of them and brought them medicine and special food. They went above and beyond and always made us feel safe and at home. Would return every time we come to Galapagos.

Quiet location yet very close to walk anywhere in town. Spacious room with coffee, tea, fridge and water refills. Booking tours through Romy is convenient.
