Room too small and hidden in the back of the front property which was a restaurant/bar. So, no ocean view nor city view. At night, the bar becomes a dancing night club and therefore it's noisy.

The beachfront location is very convenient. It's across the main boardwalk/pier to have a pleasant beachfront walk. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast included was ok but not the best.

Since it is also a bar/restaurant it can be loud at night but the property doesn’t try to hide on their listing. They also give you ear plugs during check-in. Since I stayed on the weekend I expected this and didn’t mind it. Just join the fun and enjoy a drink at the bar. If this is not your scene, definitely consider other accommodation.

Conveniently located on the popular strip right on the beach. Close walk to everything. I felt safe with security present letting guests in and out throughout the day. They gave us wrist bands to help security identify us and let us in quicker. Since at night people are in line to get into the bar. The staffs were all very friendly and helpful. The room although small but was clean and equipped with smart TV and strong AC. Wifi was fast. It’s also a bar/restaurant. There are also great food stalls right below. We came on the weekend and the strip/beaches were packed with people who came for their weekend getaway, so being right in the heart of it was fun and eventful. Overall good price for the location.

They should offer better breakfast options the coffee was terrible and my plate was too greasy. Also the bathroom has a leak. They don't have parking but they recommend a private place for 8 dollars per night which I think is too expensive.

The room was way too small, the bathroom wall was peeling off, and in comparison to other places, the price was a bit too high for such a small room. Oh, and the noise was so bad. It was Sunday, so I was sure people wouldn't stay up until late, but they proofed me wrong. If you're planning to get a good night's rest, I don't recommend staying here on the weekend, even if it is Sunday.

The restaurant was very nice and the fact that it was right in front of the beach was awesome. The staff was super nice, and they let my baby brother take a nap there even though he wasn't staying there, which talks worlds about their hospitality.

First, we got an email in English with very specific directions to get to the hotel by bus or by taxi. We also got a WhatsApp message the day we were to arrive, confirming that we knew how to find the hotel. Our first room had a problem with the lock, so they kindly moved us to another room. When we extended our stay, we got a spacious suite and free breakfast. The beds were comfortable, the Aircon worked well and the showers had good pressure. The staff was so helpful and friendly and served breakfast with a smile. The hotel is literally across the street from the beach with numerous eating and shopping places just minutes away.

When we extended our stay, we had to move rooms and wifi was non-existent in there which was frustrating. Be prepared for very loud music until about midnight, especially Fri and Sat nights, but it didn't really bother us as we were awake.

Great location and decent rooms. Request room 306 (the one in their pics with the sea view) if you want a nice view ✌🏼 Beds and pillows are clean and comfortable. Included breakfast is fine and has nice views on terrace. WiFi is good in communal areas and also in our first room.

the wifi is fast and it only works in the corner of the room. the bar drinks are expensive. the beach has cheaper drinks from their vendors. there was no tv and the room is really tight. I wish they would expand their wifi though.

I really loved the area it was located in. right in front of the beach and the best restaurants in Salinas. the property it self was beautiful and the wifi does work really well but only on one corner. they are respectful of the music volume and its right smack In the middle which is great.

The place was quite noisy, and you could hear not only the other guests outside the door (there was a thin window sepataring the hall way) the bar was blasting music until late in the night. The breakfast was very basic, and the restaurant one of the most expensive in all of Salinas.

Centrally located Chescos might be the best low budget hotel on the entire southwest coast of Ecuador. The room was spacious enough, the shower had hot water and the staff was friendly. The A/C worked like a charm. The location was superb, right next to the beach.

We booked on booking.com and were overcharged when we arrived at the hotel.We went to the restaurant for dinner the service was terrible very rude waitresses and the burgers were absolutely terrible.

We missed having the shared fridge for guests, so weren't able to store a couple of necessary food items for my husband's dietary needs. For this reason, we ate breakfast at other venues because there were not enough choices for my husband to have a good breakfast given his dietary needs. No problem as there is no shortage of breakfast places very close by, or even the mile-walk to Common Grounds for more expensive fare when desired. Our room was supposed to be cleaned every other day but was only cleaned on day 2. Otherwise, we have always found the location and value of Chescos to work for us.

Check-in / check-out was easy and the staff was friendly and helpful during our five-day stay. The room was cleaned once and clean towels / TP were available upon request. We enjoyed the suite, spending lots of time in the extra space with the sliding glass door wide open to enjoy the sights and sounds of the beach. The four flights of stairs were no burden for us. We always enjoy the upstairs open-air bar/restaurant area and one of the reasons we always stay here.

Fully in the heart of Salinas, directly at the beach. I liked the style of the hotel and the nice attention of the staff. The room was spacious with seaside view (costs quite a bit more, but worth it).
