The room was very cold with no heat at all. It was miserable coming back late at night to a freezing room, and then being woken up by the sun blaring in at 8 a.m. I wish they had different varieties of breakfast. Breakfast was the same thing everyday.

The property itself self had a unique style to it. Doesn’t really look like the pictures.

I loved the architecture of the building that has been nicely renovated. The location was nice, the side street was quite and the feel of the whole neighborhood was pleasant. Also close to the main part of the colonial part of Quito.

Rooms were hot as no windows. Towels were a bit old and worn.

Enormous beds, comfy, nice shower and jacuzzi bath. Good working fridge. Great rooftop restaurant and bar.

Walls are thin, so it's pretty noisy, the are no sockets to charge your phone in the room. They need to take care a little bit more about little maintenances.

Hotel and restaurant don't take credit cards so make sure you have cash. Also, they may take payment in advance and ask for it again. I think this is confusion with booking.com rather than them trying to pull a fast one... I think I opted to pay on arrival, but a few days after booking, I got an email from booking.com to say a deposit payment had been taken, but this was for the full amount. I knew I was going to stay, so I was mildly irritated but didn't challenge it. On arrival, we were asked for full payment in cash. I said we'd already paid, but they said we hadn't. I was doubting myself and tired after a long flight so paid it, but this niggled at me so I checked my credit card statement the next day and saw I had already paid. They refunded me straightaway so it wasn't a problem overall, but it's definitely worth checking your credit card and having proof of payment.

The hotel is in a great location, in the heart of the old town. It is really pretty and the rooms are lovely. Staff are helpful, breakfast is lovely and the view from the rooftop bar/restaurant is incredible. It is exceptional value for money.

The wifi blocked access to a lot of websites, and the shower was missing a door, which meant the floor got very wet. But otherwise, it was a fantastic value!

Beautiful accommodations, friendly staff, great location. The resident dog, Obi Wan, was delightful.

Remember to take a picture of the wifi code when downstairs as there’s nothing in the room about the password! It’s not listed so not a negative at all against you as you haven’t misled anyone, but a hairdryer would be really great

The hotel does not take credit or debit cards, cash only! Despite taking payment by credit card three months before arrival, they requested payment in US$ on arrival.

The accomodation and facilities were all as good as expected.

Noise - my room was on ground floor close to reception and the noise from people inside the common areas and from the front door bell was so loud. People checking in at various points throughout the night/morning, each ringing the bell to get in. You need VERY good ear plugs here. The bath tub in my room had no taps so was redundant - check the photos, you will see! The shower was more than good enough for me though. Despite information on Booking.com and on the poster in the room, there is no in-room safe (but you can use a safe in the office). Be aware of the dog in reception - he actually bit me at check-in when I bent down to put my passport away in my bag (may have been a "friendly" bite, didn't draw blood, but I was worried enough having only just arrived into the country!).

Breakfast was OK. The building common areas were lovely as was the rooftop area/view. First elevator trip up to the top was a nice surprise. I ate a snack with drinks in the rooftop bar one night which was nice. Location is OK, and only a short walk into Centro Historico - I would only attempt this in daylight though.

Was $25 cab ride from airport but we chose historic area to stay in so cab required .

We only had a few hours here in transit but the views from the rooftop were beautiful to see all the cathedrals lit up around us . The pictures matched the property .

The hotel has huge potential to be 10/10!! Maybe taking note of the following: Coffee and tea making facilities missing from room (in description). Breakfast was sometimes cold (eggs) and always the same each day. Hangers in the wardrobe would have been helpful 😆. The bar was often devoid of staff and no menu so didn’t know the prices. I didn’t like that they charged us 3 months before our stay, as US dollar dropped and it would have been cheaper at the time of our arrival.

After reading some of the reviews we were worried about our stay but as the hotel had already taken full payment 3 months before (as a security deposit they said) we felt obliged to stay as I wasn’t sure I would get our money back if I cancelled. Anyway I’m so glad I didn’t cancel! The hotel is beautiful, our room was spacious and clean with a lovely spa bath which was lovely to relax in. The staff do not speak Spanish but google translate helps. We found them all to be pleasant for the most part. The hotel was virtually empty when we were there. Roof top area lovely. There is another Hotel David in Quito. I hope the reviewers are not getting confused with that one.

Limited tourist info...I only speak English.. You had to ask for room to be made up. Reminder...this is Ecuador...most places do not have heating/or AC.

The location was excellent....the hotel a unique design....trendy....and a good value. It included a nice breakfast. I had a large room...with balcony and a circular bed.

Very clean, well designed and comfortable. It’s is not practical to have a glass walled bathroom, no privacy, blinds should be fitted. We was charged an extortionate price of $33 for a bottle of wine in the roof top bar, the barman had to go to local shop to get it, we waited ages for him to return, the same wine was $2.99 in the shop, not happy !

The location, facility and staff were very good. We did not like having the same items for breakfast each morning. Secondly, the butter and jam brought to us at breakfast was used by someone else. Thirdly, we didn’t realize the hotel would charge us 15% to pay using our credit card. Fourthly, for us, the pillows were very hard and prevented us from getting a good nights sleep.
