Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

CanadaThe food is not great in general, but you can find good things to eat. Desserts are bad. No real Fruit juices. The lack of benches with sunshade is a big problem. The medical service is a shame . They charge you very expensive and seem to be there to get you to the hospital in Punta Cana that is extremely expensive and hard to get your insurance to cover for you.
The beach is great! The water chutes are fun. Entertainment is great. Some staff are great, like Miguel by the pool. Some restaurants are good like the Mexican.

United StatesCheck in was chaotic. They struggled to get us the room we had reserved. Also, it is difficult to see what the Sunclub actually gets us. There is no clear distinction between sunclub and non-sun club. Also, it was difficult to get food even in the buffet there were always lines to wait in. Finally, the App is TERRIBLE! It is very difficult to navigate, it is constantly reloading-so I have to search again for the property. And many of the locations are incorrectly marked on the map.
I have been coming here for ten years. I like these familiarity.

United StatesThe property was fine. The only thing I didn’t like was my bed. The mattress needs to be replaced. It wasn’t level it’s sloped on the right side, which made it very uncomfortable. The other two issues we had were.: upon arrival at the hotel 3 PM Christmas Eve we were told to go to the buffet and sign up for the special Christmas Eve dinner, which we tried to do. We were informed that there was no run for six more people. Upon checking out at 8 AM Sunday morning there was no one available to bring our bags to the lobby . I called many times and all I got was a busy signal. In the lobby was empty.
I was fine walking around, but for people who have difficulty walking I think offering golf cart. Transportation would’ve been nice.

FranceI didn't find the food to be consistently great; it really depends on the day.
The pool is truly impressive, boasting an integrated bar that adds to its allure. The staff are not only friendly but also exceptionally helpful, ensuring a delightful experience for guests. The atmosphere is serene and enjoyable, offering a peaceful retreat without being overly crowded. It's a perfect spot to unwind and enjoy some relaxation time.

United StatesThe warmers at each of the buffets throughout the resort do not seem to work properly as all the dishes were cold. There is not enough shade at the sun-club pool or beach compared to the number of guests staying in that section. There seems to be ample beach space for more to be added. There needs to be more signage near the beach designating Sun Club Adult Only section as ones there can hardly be seen.
We enjoyed the convenience of the sun-club adult only section. The beach was absolutely beautiful, one of the nicest we have seen compared to most others in the Dominican. The water was so calm and the bottom was so clear and free of seaweed. There are a few rocks here and there but that is to be expected in the ocean. We did not wear water shoes and never had an issue. Do not listen to the complaints. The resort is lovely and the workers are kind. Constant improvements are being made and workers are still learning, so it will continue to get better. I would not hesitate to come back if the price was right!

United States1. The unclear process of selling membership. 2. Too many forms to complete manually instead of having digital forms for completing by phone. Data on paper put the personal data at several risks related to privacy and confidentiality. 3. More choices for vegetarians/vegan costumers should be considered in the restaurants.
1. The staff was polite and accommodating. 2. It is family oriented, great for children with disabilities. 3. Having choices for 2-2.30 hour tours was fantastic. 4. Having various restaurants for dinner as part of the all inclusive package is fantastic.

United StatesI think there could’ve been more selection on the food options in the drinks were not the best. They had a lot of different fruit juices but I feel like they were really watered down with not much flavor.
The property was very beautiful the beach was stunning and the rooms were very clean and pretty modern. when we arrive they try to upgrade us to the VIP and after a long flight with an infant I really didn’t want to see the VIP room I wish they would’ve just explained what it included in the price difference from the beginning. It seems like to upgrade to VIP you would be able to request a toothpaste and slippers. It also seems like there’s a private section for the beach which would’ve been great with an infant because it seems like everyone in the morning puts their towels on the chair chairs although you’re not supposed to in order to save themselves a chair all day while they’re out at the restaurants and doing other things. There’s only fair amount of covered chairs so you’d have to get out pretty early in the morning to reserve one or to go to the beach before they are all taken. I would recommend Water shoes because while entering the beach they have a few of those sandstones so you have to be careful but after that it’s Prestage white sand but just getting in and out I had a little difficulty.

United StatesThere is no hair conditioner in the rooms, women take it with you because in the shops on the territory of the hotel the prices are overpriced, as well as sunscreens, the packaging costs an average of $50. I also can’t help but mention the case that happened to us. A hotel employee who cleans the beach stole my husband’s headphones. It turned out when we walked around the hotel and tried to find them by location, as a result, these headphones were in the pocket of one of the staff employees. The hotel manager reacted quickly and the employee was fired. But still, I don’t advise leaving money or valuables unattended!
From the good, I can note the well-functioning Internet throughout the hotel. The rooms have excellent air conditioners. The rooms are not humid. The food in restaurants is pretty good. Not much choice, but you won’t stay hungry. I also want to mention a wonderful children’s club. Beautiful girls work there who entertain children. The water in the sea was very clean. I also managed to attend a massage. The masseuses were wonderful and did their job well, very nice women!

NetherlandsThe food was absolutely a big mess, From raw/burn pizza, or grilled veggies that tasted boiled, to different ingredientes of what was stated in the menu. In general we barely eat during our stay and when we spoke to other travellers the opinion was shared. Having fruit juices was a challenge - only possible during breakfast. Lunch, dinner and cocktails used concetrated powder. The hotel had theme restaurant and buffets. Most of the restaurants took you on a first come first served basis. Sometimes when the queue was "big" they will tell you to go somewhere else. The earlier you go the bigger chances you had to get a table and to get all the posibilities on the menu. The meat and chicken tasted funny and it was overcooked. We constanly had to leave our food in our plate because we could not ate it. The lack of transperency to disclosed what was being served and missing labels on the buffet was also a big problem when you have allergies/intolerances as you wont have a piss of mind. I had to tell the waiters many times before they disclosed what they were serving to me.. Most didnt care and only few staff try to help with alternatives. The hotel premised are very spread out and you must walk a lot -usually not a problem for us but my hubby torn his foot-so in that case it was not the easiest to get around or if you are elderly. The resort doctor ask us 250$ to check the foot. Since there is only one big pool people tend to concentrate in one area (very noise) even though the hotel is quite large. In my opinion this could be done much better. The private beach had a lot of stones/big rocks so you need to jump and swim to pass them or you can walk 10-15min to the public beach next door which is pure sand. The rest of the hotels in the area dont seem to have this issue. Our room keep having a very bad smell every now and them, we called and asked for this to be checked but it keep happenning.
I have many mixed feeling about this stay. In one hand I meet very nice staff who went beyond to help us but also ran into very rude staff who ask us to wait and sometimes never come back to help us. We were also offer a day out in their next door hotel together with a free breakfast if we agreed to see the premises and receive some offers for future trips we only agreed because we not so happy with the premises and at that point we would had not mind to pay a bit extra to upgrade our stay but it was all a scam, they wasted our time from our last day and they were very rude at us. This hotel does very good with entertaiment and with the service of alcohol even though I am not quite sure what they were serving. Dfferent bar serve you very cheap local alochol and other bars had recognizable brands. I tried the cola zero and the taste was different to what i drink at home but sometimes this is the way is manufactured in the country. The hotel does a good job keeping a nice atmosphere for people having fun but also shows for families. The room are good size and confortable. There is a nice layout of the hotel in armony with the landscape and everything clean, the grass watered. There is one big pool in the center of the hotel and one part of the pool has slides for the kids so the adults usually stay close to the bar pool. There is also an adult pool only but you need to pay extra to use it. - we didnt! They also have a coffee bar, own version of starbucks, however all the food in the resort came mostly from the same kitchen. A potential advantage when one find the food pleasant - we didnt!
