It is the perfect place to enjoy a quiet peaceful vacation. Walking distance from the beach and from town, with very good restaurant options nearby. The included breakfast is delicious and the owners and staff are very nice and welcoming. A home away from home!

It is a quaint and beautiful property. Very well taken care of. The owner Jauma is wonderful, dedicated and knowledgeable. He is willing to go the extra mile to make your stay a 10/10. The room is outstanding, the breakfast delicious and location next to the beach and many good restaurants. It is also a quiet place to relax and enjoy. We had a wonderful stay. Thanks

This property had great ratings and looked nice, but in person it exceeded my expectations. Although only a few years old, the lovely cottages feel like a throwback to an earlier era. The porch, the garden, the welcome drink...everything was so very peaceful. A short and easy walk to the beach and a bunch of restaurants. The hosts were charming. The small pool was the perfect place to float and watch the stars come out after sunset. Great breakfast. I was only there one night, but I loved that one night. Highly recommended.

With Jaume and Montse at Popy hotel we felt like home, in a super-cozy environment where we could experience a very comfortable and quite stay. Ideal place in the nature with all comfort and helpful owners who have arranged for us activities and transports. The way the hotel is managed, furnished and the whole atmosphere is absolutely the best we could find in Las Terrenas.

Nice basic and clean room with a big double bed and an extra bed in very small mezzanine. A relaxing atmosphere in the garden and pool area. Breakfast was delicious. Owners are lovely. A plus point for me was that I could pay by credit card without paying an extravagant fee as in most Dominican hotels...if you can pay by card at all!

The mezzanine was tiny with no room to maneuver whatsoever. I was the unlucky one to sleep there and I hit my head multiple times. It is also a very hot spot in the room. Although there was a coffee machine in the room, there were no extra water bottles, except in the minibar for which you had to pay. The room is basic. There is no TV and in general the room, and especially the bathroom/shower, misses the quality finish. I find the price quite steep for what you get. But, at the moment, everything touristic is overpriced in the Dominican Republic.

Tastefully decorated spacious room. Unexpected outdoor shower ( on top of indoor one). Super friendly and attentive people, helping with everything you need. Tasty and healthy breakfast fresh juice, fruits plus choice of omelet/yoghurt or hot sandwich. We enjoyed our time in this cosy setting. Short walk to the beach, from there you can walk either along endless sand beaches or to town. Good choice of restaurants for different budgets. It is far enough from noisy restaurants and street to enjoy a quiet nights sleep with the sound of nature. We enjoyed our time in Punta Popy tremendously. Just 5 guest houses, a small pool and nice people made us wish to stay longer. We will definitely come back.

    All perfect

I liked the design of the little cottages that were the rooms. Unfortunately, I cannot tell you anything more that I liked because the very first day at breakfast, the host reacted so badly to me suddenly experiencing physical distress that we were forced to look for another place to stay

The host or perhaps he’s the owner spoke to both me and my husband, in an incredibly belittling, insulting and dismissive manner, such that we didn’t want to be anywhere near him and felt extremely uncomfortable and we’re forced to find another place to stay. I was having breakfast I started to feel ill and lightheaded and I did not know why or what was happening. I went to go lie down, and when my husband attempted to bring me the rest of my breakfast, the host forbade him. I tried to come back to finish my breakfast, but I could not even remain sitting in the chair. The host response to my distress was the opposite of what any human being would wish for. After I staggered back to our room, he told my husband that he “couldn't be my father“ and insinuated, that I was having some kind of childish temper tantrum. I think he said some other things that my husband did not even want to repeat to me, but that made him so uncomfortable that we had to waste half the day of our short vacation trying to find alternative lodging, and we could not find anything for that same night and so we were forced to stay in this very small lodge, and try as best we could to avoid making eye contact or speaking with this man, but since he’s the one who cooks the breakfast in front of you, it was incredibly uncomfortable and unpleasant. we politely requested a refund for the second two nights only, though we should’ve been refunded for all four nights. Thus far, I have not seen any money come back to my account, and so we are also being forced to pay for two nights to stay at the place that was incredibly unpleasant and two nights that we were not even there.
