    I can say only great things about this resort! First of all, we had a Guest Experience Specialist (Reinaldo Sanchez) on our first day, before check-in he already had everything organized for us and scheduled, all the reservations for the restaurants, every morning sent us the daily activities that the hotel has and offered! Our stay was a family vacation and we were with our little one, I requested a crib, but incredibly he had that all set up for us before check-in! In the buffet, the food was fantastic, and the service/staff were wonderful. A big variety of food and options for everyone. Our oldest is on the spectrum and she was treated with respect and they were always so welcoming with her and did give us all the accommodations so she can feel comfortable (at the restaurants, buffet, at the show, game areas, at the pools everywhere) ❤️ I'll share some pictures about, Reinaldo and our man at the buffet Ronaldo! Thank you!!

    This resort is a perfect spot for both families and adults!! They have El Beso which is exclusively for adults only section, with pools & restaurants on the adult side. The family side is equipped for all ages!! We went for our 16 year wedding anniversary & our room door had a banner that said in both Spanish & English “Happy Anniversary”. The bed had a heart made from their towels & flowers. And a bottle of wine. Of course we stayed on the adult side but we experienced both sides! The restaurants are good & need reservations but the one we liked the best was El Mercado, the buffet one. The best part of our stay was our Concierge, Jose Miguel!! He was hands down the best!! Anything we needed, he delivered. He would even ask if we needed reservations in advance for any restaurant. He was literally available to us all day!! He made sure we enjoyed our stay at all times, even on his off days!! I can go on and on as this place was Paradise for us & loved every second of it!! Most definitely recommend Ocean El Faro! And don’t forget to ask for Jose Miguel!!

    Property was great but we couldn’t go into the beach because it was over populated by seaweed!! To the extent that it was picked up daily by a tractor & placed in dump trucks! Some of the staff were not too nice, but the majority were! The gift shop is WAY Over Priced!!

    It was so much to do. It was clean and good location.

    Housekeeping was not available when called. The trolley wasn’t available when asking for service.

    The resort itself was very pretty the scenery

    the staff there were really mean and not so friendly there were maybe about 2-3 nice employees working there. The service is horrible they take 1-2 days to fix problems. Everything closed by 11 on the resort. The food was horrible.

    It was quite clean

    1. We checked in for two rooms at 3:00 pm as usual and only one of the rooms was ready and they told us to call a few minutes later to tell us what the room number was. We called and they transferred us from one person to another to tell us that the room was not ready yet. We called more than four times and it was always the same story and it was not until more than three hours later that we were finally able to get it. 2. In the check-in process they would always give information about the restaurants and if you need to make a reservation, they never told us anything so we couldn’t go to one the first night. 3. In the buffet they did not put napkins, the waiters approached the table and asked if we wanted something to drink which we did and then they did not appear anymore. This happened several times. 4. There is no information about the shows or anything that indicates the activities of the week. Although not the whole experience was bad, these completely overshadowed the few good things that occurred.

    The staff was so hospitable Jose the host was excellent👌 I had fell in the room cause the shower was leaking thru the bathroom wall on the room floor,and Jose was so understanding and called maintenance they came right away caulking the wall and the floor it was so amazing, went to the Asian food place on the resort the people was so nice my fiance birthday they celebrated with us so wonderful im going to tell 100 of my friends to stay there when they travel

    That I had to leave, the steak house on property was not good over cooked steak, food was cold no good, and the diner place on property it was hair in my food and the glasses of water was spotty other then that everything else was good

    Top shelf drinking

    Staff at ice cream shop rude. You should hand items to the person not sit it on the counter. Cleaning service could’ve cleaned better. There were towels left under my bed from a previous person having the room and shower could’ve been cleaned better.

    this was my partners & I’s first time out of the country and overall the resort/staff went above and beyond to make sure we felt safe & comfortable. Even decorated our room for my partners birthday. The staff was very welcoming & our gentleman Jose was so friendly helping us get settled,getting us reservations, also answering all my questions/concerns any time of the day. It is alittle far from the airport but I think it was well worth it. 10/10 experience and we will definitely be back!!

    A exceptional Job of my Mayordomo, José Miguel Jiménez, from the first moment he fulfilled everything we need it, permanent communication and quick to answer and take care our needs, wonderful communication and the best personality. Another person was yukelkis the room keeper lady, every day and afternoon and night she care to keep our room clean and neat alone with the towels and everything we needed in our bathroom, she was the best, her sweetness and personality imposible to don’t love her… Another person in entertainment was Stephany… the best friend, fun, profesional and the joy of the Party ever… I really will miss her… attentive to every needs and quick to answer in any situation and need Another wonderful person was Juana our waiter from the buffet, always having my coffee a water ready, cleaning the plates and table quick… beautiful personality and ready to serve all the time…

    The hotel in itself has a good infrastructure, specially the kids area in terms of pool size and slides. Location is also good, very close to the beach.

    The hotel has so many problems, the staff is the WORST and have ruined what should have been a lovely experience. The hotels rooms smell like mould. The toilet seats are not fitted properly in the rooms. The bath tubs are falling apart. The shower doesn’t maintain the same temperature throughout. But really the worst part if their staff. The staff is absolutely unprepared to deal with tourists from all over the world, there is no standard of service, so if you make the same mistake we did and choose this hotel, be ready to be treated poorly by the staff. They were rude (from the person at reception, to the waiters at the restaurants). You can tell they are all unhappy at their jobs, they make you beg for a glass of water, clean cutlery, clean napkins, they just don’t want to help, unless of course you are ready to tip them well. There is a CLEAR difference between the way American tourists are treated (as they offer tips more frequently), vs other nationalities. All around the WORST service/staff me and all other 12 members of my family had. Even my 10 year old nephew was affected by the terrible service this hotel offers. On his birthday, the hotel was meant to deliver a cake to his room, we’ve all gathered for the cake, but there was NO CAKE. Eventually 2 hours after the agreed time the cake arrives, with bottle of champagne, for a 10 YEAR OLD BOY!!! I could go on, but ultimately the only advice I would have is - PICK A DIFFERENT HOTEL, you will be treated poorly and that is the main memory you’ll have of your time at Ocean El Faro.

    The staff was so bad. No coordination or relevance whats so ever. Our vacation was ruined for the imcompetence of some staff of the lobby and the buttler, they made us feel uncomfortable and very sad about the whole situation. Even at the check out was a problem for asking for our bill.

    The staff in the kitchen were very friendly. The food at the buffet is tasty. The lazy pool is fun.

    The resort is not a new build it is an old resort with a new name. Our room was the most expensive room available in the entire hotel. It is beachfront. Our patio was incredibly dirty so using the outdoor bath is impossible. Flying insects lay on the patio floor and furniture. I believe it has never been mopped. The suite had a severe damp problem . It smelled of mould and damp. We could not believe we left Hard Rock for this place. It felt like a rip off when we compared how much we spent at both hotels. The butler service is not like a real butler service from real 5* hotels. José is very rude - he did not even want to acknowledge all party members or help with the pushchair. Paying for the upgraded Privilege exclusive service gets you no real benefits. Our child did not receive a Daisy welcome pack even though staff promised it. The Privilege restaurant is very poor and limited compared to the buffet. There is no real swimming pool outside of it - it’s actually a shallow pool. There are staff trying to take hotel customers to the lighthouse and sell you into staying in this lacklustre hotel over a period of time. They are all over the resort and act like beach hawkers. I came to relax not be in a Marrakech souk! These staff members have an attitude. Especially after you have to be assertive to get them to stop trying to sell you their very long term holiday package. The Japanese restaurant is not suitable for small children but our chef tried his best to entertain and serve.

    They made a big deal when checking in about passports we explained we were staying with family. They just care about up selling constantly harassing to sell. Everything is first come first serve not enough to go around . I'm on vacation don't want to be working so hard for pool chairs reservations for restaurants etc.
