Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomWe would have liked to have dinner in one of the restaurants overlooking the sea but sadly one was fully booked and we did not wish to pay for a meal at the Japanese restaurant as we were all inclusive. There were wasps continually hovering around the pool bar. My husband had an stomach upset on the first morning and we had only consumed food and drink at the hotel - no other members of our party were unwell.
Jumping directly into the sea and snorkelling was exceptional. We loved the tremendous sea views and sunsets from our rooms and the pools. Having a variety of pools to choose from was appreciated. Super helpful staff on reception and friendly reception bar staff. We were very impressed by the room size, balcony and view of the junior suite - wonderful. We enjoyed the free bus shuttle to the beach - prompt and regular.

Dominican RepublicI had to leave the pool by 7pm and it an adults only hotel. Food wasn’t so good.
It’s a good hotel comparing price and que amity in general but food variety and quality can be better. Pool time can be extended and activities can last longer.

United StatesI just mentioned that it is unique that it doesn’t have direct beach access, but I did like how it is on a cliff and it kinda something special and different than your typical resort. There is a bus that takes you to the beach but it is a small area that is public -the rest is taken up by the rest of the resorts. I have a medical condition where I need public restroom access and there just wasn’t. It’s not a dig on HM but the other resorts didn’t seem too kind on letting me use their facilities so we had to leave early. Also there weren’t many places on this part of the beach to buy drinks, both alcoholic and nonalcoholic. It is also overall a smaller resort which makes it easier to navigate but I can see how it can get boring if you’re staying for longer. They do offer excursions at the hotel, but I can’t speak to those as we did not do any.
First off, the whole property is absolutely gorgeous. I would go back just for the view. The buildings are painted white and it looks amazing with the background of the ocean and the pool. The rooms are generally clean although we had a crab invade our room although I don’t how often that happens here. The staff is overall very friendly and helpful. They have only 2 restaurants that are included in the all inclusive price and we tried 1-overall it was good, except for the mahi mahi ceviche. I felt like there were two many pimentos for my taste. We mainly stuck to the buffet which had a wild variety of foods. My friend is vegetarian and she had no problem filling her plate with meat-free options. One thing I thought it was unique was that it is on a cliff where the ocean waves crash against the rocks and you can jump in and go snorkeling. I love to dive so it was fun to dive into the ocean like that from above.

United StatesThere were some staff working out while being responsible for managing the gym, others were chatting while people were trying to order drinks near the pools. There were some inconsistencies as well, for instance, the bars by the pool charge for bottled waters when the bar in the lobby didn’t
That it had a lot of amenities. Staff was friendly.

EstoniaThe only thing we didn’t like was the food selection. After 4 days it seemed that everything was same every day and we started eating outside the hotel at least 1 time per day. The included restaurants - Dominican/Mexican & Italian were total disappointment food wise. Location for restaurants was spectacular but food was same as in buffet or even worse
Location was really good and private even though there was no beach. Great to chill in pool by the sea. The rooms were a bit old but decent value for the money

United StatesThe beds are very very firm. But the pullout couch had a cozy mattress ( I put it on the bed and it worked perfectly). In my building the hot water only worked in the morning, otherwise the showers were fairly cool.
Don’t expect the food to taste like what you are familiar with. That being said try the local dishes- the stewed meats and legumes, fish and yucca. They’re SO well flavored and the best food they serve. ( and the fried food was incredible) It was a few days before I realized/ and was so happy when I did!

CanadaI know it’s not easy but there were flies around the food in the buffet. If they can figure out a way to cover the food perhaps that would definitely be better.

United StatesThe reservation for the restaurants at the lobby are limited. The girl there wasn’t very nice. Needs some training. In general I would recommend to train staff to say “no” keeping the customer happy by giving other choices because they do have them.
I liked the size of the property because it’s not huge where you have to walk great distances to get to the restaurants and entertainment. The buffet had plenty of options and we enjoyed the food. The service was amazing at the restaurant Nemias and his brother are the best. The best margaritas are in the bar located in the lobby. The food truck has really good food. The afternoon views by the ocean are amazing.
