Absolutely amazing hotel. Beautiful and rich in history. Excellent location. Rooms with high ceilings, a very comfortable bed and a great shower. Breakfast was exceptional too!

We would have liked a rug or towel for the floor as it can be easy to track dirt into the room.

We loved this place! Super comfy Beds, lovely old bedrooms with historical furnishings, amazing breakfast, lovely courtyard and terrace to observe the neighborhood. The staff were courteous and helpful and supplied us with everything we needed. Amazing price for the quality of the stay.

It's minor, but the interior reception and dining area could use a fan or a/c. It was always hot and stuffy in that area, which could be an issue if the courtyard seating is full when you eat breakfast. The street is under major construction during the daytime with lots of noise, but luckily that is only audible in the reception area. Did not notice it at all at the rooms.

My family stayed here three nights. The beds and pillows are very comfortable. A/C worked well. Good breakfast with made to order eggs and the coffee was good also. Interior courtyard is very nice and also there is a rooftop terrace/socializing area which is quite nice. I would recommend this hotel completely and would definitely stay there again. The front desk staff were all very friendly and super helpful. Very good restaurants nearby (Buho).

Not the hotels fault but there was quite a bit of construction on the street and surrounding areas so a little hard to navigate. You have to catch the taxi 2 blocks away.

I loved the historical nature of the property and the location was perfect! It was my first time in Santo Domingo so it was a good landing spot for sightseeing and checking out the cafes and restaurants that were very close to the property.

I enjoyed the security at the front door but I did have to wait some times up to 5 minutes because the staff was not at the desk because they were busy. Not too uncomfortable though because it was a beautiful location.

Very dated rooms, even allowing for being in the old town. Could really do with a refresh. WiFi did not really work in my room (10). AC unit and fan both quite loud.

Really well located hotel. Very close to the malecon and bars restaurants etc. Breakfast is good with fresh eggs and fruit. Staff are friendly. Nice historical touches around the hotel. Okay value for money.

Breakfast starts at 8am, so if you’re there on business thus does not work. The first morning I left without eating. The 2nd morning I figured out that they started laying out breakfast earlier in a room next to the kitchen, so in reality I could have started with coffee and toast the day before but I didn’t see it. So the 2nd morning I did enjoy breakfast and was able to start at 7:45am with the favor of the ladies that were preparing things. Also the Colonia Zone is currently undergoing HUGE road upgrades/construction, so I had to walk to different areas to catch my UBER. Btw, UBER is the way to get around !! It was inexpensive completely reliable and easy as 1-2-3.

It’s a house (originally built as a convent for nuns) built I think in the year 1530 and I absolutely LOVED the stones, bricks super high ceilings and tall doors, furnishings and such.

Beautiful colonial building in the very centre of Santo Domingo which makes it very convenient for sightseeing. Safe, quiet neighbourhood for a good night sleep, good wifi. The place is as per the pictures. The staff is very kind, friendly and accommodating

It was not sound proof so you could hear others very well.

Beautiful, unique and historic. It was amazing to stay in what used to be an old convent and one of the first original buildings in the old colonial town. The rooftop was so peaceful to enjoy a beer in the evening or to do yoga for the sunrise in the morning!

I had a bottom floor room because we booked last minute. The room was musty, old humidity. Room really needs to be aired out with a continuous fan. Usually, I am certain to stay on upper floor to avoid this situation.

we had a standard double room, which was very small, with no windows. The entrance of the room was in the courtyard, where they have some nice tables and umbrellas, so we could hear everyone talking, at any hour of the day and night.

It is a very nice, historical building, with a beautiful inner courtyard.
