How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Verified reviewWe enjoyed the pool and the park! It was great. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The food was delicious and a lot of variety.
Avoid Punta Cana in the summer months. Or any beaches in the Caribbean in the summer. Sargassum in the water was terrible. We couldn’t enjoy the sea not even one day. We know this is not the hotel’s fault, but I wished they were more transparent about it. We called in June and July to check on this… but the staff was not forthcoming about it. We love the sea. We prefer beach over the pool, so it was very frustrating upon arrival. Note: the news do not report on this which they should as Punta Cana and RD is a destination. If you enjoy the sea, this will definitely ruin your trip.

Verified reviewAngela from concierge is amazing Coffee shop ladies are wonderful like Christina for example (but really all the girls there are incredible) the waiters at the buffet and at all the bars are amazing and they deserve to be tipped because they truly work so hard and they do their jobs so well. HOWEVER- I can appreciate that maybe this hotel gets all kinds of guests that abuse the “all inclusive” approach and hospitality but if you’re going to be all inclusive.. be all inclusive. I am sick in my room and I can’t go to the buffet or the restaurant and so we wanted to have food (something we never abuse or waste) brought to our room.. we made sure we had a tip ready for the room service person.. we acknowledged and agreed to pay the ten dollar/euro fee for ordering room service.. and I am told that I can’t order everything I want because there is a limit on food per person. We are athletes, we eat a lot. I didn’t ask for the dishes to be prepared specifically.. I didn’t complicate the order.. I wanted two appetizers per person and two dishes per person under the main entree section ( a protein dish and a carbohydrate based dish) and was told I can’t have them because there is a limit on what we can get. This is actually shameful. I know we would eat everything.. we spent enough on this stay to where I should be able to get 3 appetizers and three items off the entree menu.. i understand that a lot of people waste food.. I am not one of them and I don’t care to be treated as such.. if you have to send people to pick up the dishes or leftover food at the end of the evening to prevent bugs or birds or whatever.. then that is what you should do. But to tell me I can’t have a very reasonable amount of food from room service for which I am paying an additional cost in an all inclusive resort is ridiculous. We all have different dietary needs and preferences.

I didn’t like that the rooms are too close to each other, making it easy to hear the people in the neighboring room.

Verified reviewBuffet Food was really good and fresh - many many options - pastries and ice cream station were not the best but the fruits and cookies made up for it. Rooms are in great conditions being freshly renovated. Kids camp ladies are wonderful - super caring and always joyful - they even gifted my son a little something on his birthday even though he only attended a few activities during our stay. The shows at night were very qualitative and professional. We got to see different ones every night over the length of our 12 day stay The à-la-carte restaurants are also really nice with no reservation needed nor amount of times you can go during your stay. We had a Club suite which meant we were able to use a dedicated reception area with faster check-in and special snacks and drinks all day and a dedicated beach area. The pool is wonderful, it is not that deep but runs the full length of the resort and never feels crowded. Perfect with children.
We couldn’t use the beach at all because of the seaweed invasion. We had to a tour to experience the crystal clear Dominican waters at least once. The water park is great but definitely catered more towards adults and teenagers as everything is loud, fast, with strong water current… even though my 7 yo dreamt about it before our trip, he only went twice while we were there. We ventured in a beach walk once but quickly came back to the resort as it didn’t feel really secure…

Verified reviewThe property was Nice check in was quick and easy. Love how the pool went all the way around the resort, my family loved the water park so much fun! Can’t remember the life guard name he was so friendly everyday I saw him. The rooms were comfortable and clean they also have a mini bar in the room and a coffee maker they have a coffee shop under the stairs across from the buffet There coffee was good and the pastries. Buffet food was also tasty. They had different options every day. one of the best servers at the buffet was Katherine she was so sweet every time she saw us she welcome us with a smile. Everyone was so polite and helpful. They also had great entertainment at night singers and performers
I really didn’t like the restaurants at the resort there are 4 restaurants on the resort no reservations needed steak house open on different days. the others every day the two restaurants we ate were the Italian restaurant and the seafood restaurant the seafood restaurant was better than Italian in my opinion I didn’t like the appetizer selection. At either restaurant did not like the alcohol selection

Verified reviewThe whole property was great, very clean and new. The rooms were modern and comfortable especially the beds. The toilets were a bit on the temperamental side. Loved the pool and the pool bars, always lots of sunbeds available and because the pool was so big you could choose whether you wanted a quiet day at one end or a busy loud day the other end so best of both worlds. There was lots of lunch options, the snack bar at the beach was excellent and plenty of choice, the pizza there was amazing. I liked the location it was very quiet and the beach was beautiful. It was a shame about the seaweed but it’s that time of year and can’t be avoided. The entertainment was varied and fun, the kids loved it. Most of the staff were super friendly. The kids also loved the waterpark, we switched between the 2 pools most days. The not so lazy river is great to cool off in although you do get battered by the waterfalls but it was really fun and great for a change of scenery from the pool.
I found evening meal times quite stressful, I liked the fact that you didn’t have to book but you did have to be pretty early at the a la carte restaurants if you wanted to get a table at a decent time or not have to wait a long time. The buffet restaurant was really noisy, there needs to be more upholstery in that gigantic room to absorb the noise, again it wasn’t a very relaxing experience at meal times. Also the pool has a lot of chlorine in it, I understand that it’s required because of the heat but all of our hair turned green and my husband got an ear infection. The location is very remote, there is nothing outside the hotel that you could to walk to, so if you wanted to explore anywhere it was a 40 min taxi into punta cana.

At room check out I called the phone number to send me a person to carry my luggage because I was on the third floor, the person over the phone said that no one is available so I had to take myself all my luggage to reception to check out. My wife and I had bad time because was so heavy and nobody helps.

Verified reviewI like the room and the activities by the pool
The first day, $70.00 was stolen from my wallet. The food in the different restaurant was not good. Then decide the have all the meals in the main buffet restaurant but have to many options of dominican food and not much international variety. Grill meats was always not well cook, even though we ask to be well done. Since wedneday 30th, I had to call everyday because 6pm and the room was not clean, even though I asked from the beginning, I want the towels change everyday. Didn´t like that they shut down the music in the plaza because the show will start. So you are forced to participate of a show, when you having a good time in the plaza.
