How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

Verified reviewWe recently stayed at this property as a family, and there were definitely some positives. The location was beautiful, and the area was small and easy to walk around in, which made it convenient for meeting up with family.
For the almost $3,000 (family of 4- 2 adults, 2 kids) we paid for four days, the value just wasn’t there. The rooms were underwhelming for the price, and the amenities felt very basic and nothing special for what was supposed to be a high-end stay. Service was also disappointing. We are a family that tips generously, but it was uncomfortable to see that guests who did not tip were given noticeably less attention or treated with attitude. Great service should be consistent for all guests, not dependent on tips in the moment.

They keep it clean and very nice to walk around, friendly staff and overall organized and clean.

The rooms are small. The description on this page doesn’t actually match what you get to the resort. When you get there, the sales team tells you, you’ve paid too much money basically you got ripped off.

Verified reviewThe facility is great, variety of food choices to choose from.. Sports pool, lounge pool, water splash for kids and another for adults. Quite a number of activities to keep you occupied. The daily night entertainment was a plus, . All shows were exciting, different and breathtaking . I was highly impressed.

We had a butler as part of the preferred package, who was just okay. Some of the restaurant staff were neutral, but most of the staff were exceptionally friendly and accommodating.

Verified reviewEveryone was extremely friendly. Our greeting was amazing - cool refreshing towel and drink for each of us. Left our luggage and driven by golf cart to the Preferred Check-in Area, where higher end alcohol and snacks were waiting. The facilities, rooms, grounds and pools were beautiful. The beach was beautiful. Staff walking around all the time, asking if we needed anything, taking drink orders, cleaning up empty cups/water bottles left. Pool side entertainers did a nice job getting participants. Night time shows and entertainment were very enjoyable. The NYE party/show was FANTASTIC! So unexpected and loved the fireworks at the end! Always able to get cold bottles of water. The a la carte restaurants were very good. Really liked having "Preferred Status" to have an area to go for snacks and drinks, and get away from the crowd. Great coffee/drinks/ice cream/desserts/mini sandwiches at Coco Cafe 24 hours a day. Stayed in a swim out room. Pool was too cold for me, but if the water was warmer, would have really enjoyed! The kids ventured in a few times (but even too cold for them). The staff was extremely welcoming, worked hard, pleasant and really made the trip more enjoyable. Thank you.
The ocean is very rough in front of the hotel. Very difficult to even body surf/stand in the water. You need to walk down towards the rock bluff to enjoy the ocean. The hot tub was not working at the main pool. There was one in the adult only preferred pool area but always pretty full. Wish the pools were heated - the ocean felt warmer than the pool water. Had to go searching for beach towels most days, especially if you didn't get them by 9am. People saving chairs even before 6:45am and ended up having to play to game if you wanted loungers by the larger pools. Wish the "preferred beach section" was closer to the beach. You can't see the ocean well from the reserved section due to all the shrubbery and other loungers/palapas closer to the ocean. Wild dogs/cats on the property (fortunately they were tame).
