How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

We report a long list of incidence to the manager Johny Santos that have been escalated. We. Laim part of the money back There is not enough cleaning of sargazo. 2 times not enough..In 7 days we could not put a foot in water. This is 50% of the value the hotel sell. Other details can be found in the incident report the manager completed. Some of them very serious about cleaness (involving public health risks) and lack of responsiveness from mantainance and staff. They need serious training!!! People with massive speakers in the pool,glasses every where, pool full of sand every day… We hope the hotel will respond with compensation. We feel totally scam. The hotel selling of expectations and a five starts hotel status was totally over rated .

Verified reviewThe staff in the restaurants were friendly and attentive. The food was delicious. The staff were very hard workers.
My flight was delayed over 36 hours. I lost 2 nights at the hotel. I called the hotel 8 times throughout my delays and was transferred repeatedly and then hung up on each time. When I finally arrived, I was still required to pay the 2 nights and then was told I had to wait as my room was not ready. As much as the staff was working to clear the beaches, our last 2 days you couldn’t even get into the ocean due to the amount of sargassum. The hotel should have taken boat taxis for anyone staying at the hotel to other beaches to swim.

Verified reviewThe hotel was beautiful, with lots of activities and things to do. Staff is friendly. Everything was clean and space was enough for the amount of people. The beach was also clean in comparison with the rest of the island.
Check in and check out waiting times were too long. So be prepared for a long wait when you arrive or leave. Another thing is that food could have been better. It was just ok.

Staff was not good all the time, unprofessional. Food horrible, lack of options in the buffet, food was cold all the time, I did a reservation for Santa Fe stake house and horrible organization in the front, food was really bad, Staff at that restaurant very unprofessional too. Drinks in general really bad, only one kind of beer, room outdated, many things broken inside the room and dirty. Elevator was broke the day before we left and never was fixed. Very little entertainment options at night, at least for families. The payment amount has no relation at all with the experience you gonna have here.

Verified reviewThe only thing I like about the resort was the pool.
Front desk staff was not helpful at all. The check in wasn't handle corretly by management. Too many guests checkin and not enough staff. Our room had a bathroom leakage and the safe didn't work, neither were ever fixed. The AC didn't work at any of the restaurants and the food quality was very poor. Spoke to many guests that had stayed before and they all agree how the hotel has decline in quality and service over the years. Overall not worth staying when there are so much better resorts near.

Cockroaches in the room. Also mosquitos, hordes of them come to the room if you open the window - there is no mesh screen. Food is so-so. Really seeing these cockroaches last night upset me. We are leaving today, so I did not say anything, just want to get out asap. Oh also on the plumbing fixtures look like they are barely holding up, knobs falling off etc

The buggy tour was a bit annoying with the constant selling of their alcohol, souvenirs and photo package. You think the buggy is yours for the tour but they rent it out again while they are selling their products.
