How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

Rooms rather small. Restaurant was good although staff should be increased somehow.
Good location if you need to be in the university area. Sufficient parking space guaranteed. Excellent breakfast buffet. Friendly staff.

Not much we didn't like as it met all our needs.
We used this hotel just for one night whilst driving back home. It was quiet, well located and we found it very comfortable to stay. We will stay here in the future again!

The family rooms are very congested but was okay for 1 night stay. The hotel does not have an elevator since they only have 2 floors. It was not a problem for us.
Good location. There was ceiling fan available in the room. Best for the hot summer days. Wide variety of breakfast options.

Nothing really.
Very friendly staff and lovely breakfast! Great location if you are looking for a place to stay on your way through Denmark by car as it is right by the E45 and has a lot of parking.

The hotel is located away from central Aalborg I was unable to go out exploring in the evenings or during free time periods, but that is my fault as I should have researched it more thoroughly
The staff were extremely helpful and supportive, the breakfast offering was good for the price paid.

Dinner ... Quite basic cuisine, we must say.
A decent hotel with an excellent breakfast. Not meant to stay there for a long time, but definitely OK for a few days. Our room was not very spacious, but actually offered all the facilities we needed. Friendly and helpful staff. Satisfied.

The restaurant menu. The Greenlicious Burger was the only thing on the menu that I could eat. Everything else was either meat based or contained cream - something that I'm intolerant to.
The location to the customer for me was great. The gym facilities gave me the training session that I needed.

I would be happy to stay here again, but it is worth noting a few points. You will need a car/motorbike to get here and it is not in walking distance of Aalborg City or Aalborg train station. It is quite isolated with only the petrol station for company (200m away). Many people were just passing through for one night (including a coach party) before getting back on the motorway network.
This is an upmarket chain 'motel' situated just off the E45 motorway and close to a Circle K fuel station. I was not expecting too much, but I was pleasantly surprised by what I found. The staff at reception were friendly and helpful and the room was fine for my needs (1 or 2 nights etc). What really surprised me was the excellent and popular restaurant with a small but varied menu. The portions were huge. Note, the restaurant is not open on a Sunday, so best check other options. There was a small bar and a garden area. Breakfast was good. The local fuel station was vey handy for snacks/drinks etc.

Stayed with a group of friends on a motorcycle trip, heading to Norway. Hotel is conveniently located a short distance from the trunk road exit. Arrived in time for a quick beer before very nice dinner… our rooms were clean and comfortable. Breakfast was splendid with good coffee too. It was on the expensive side, but we were heading for the austerity of camping hytte life.. Happy to return and recommend..

Very tidy and quiet room. We had a very simple dinner, but a great one! The steak and the burger were excellent, very soft meat from the nearby zones. The breakfast was also fantastic. A lot of choice among different tasty home-made food, and also very well presented. Super coffee too. I am 100% satisfied about my stay.
