How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Verified reviewThe location is both an advantage and disadvantage. As others said, you will be in a pedestrian only area. The parking is 5 mins away and with the 50% hotel discount you still pay 130 DKK for a full day. But you are in a very central area. Room is very clean, neat and fairly spacious.
The location is on an infamous street where nights are long. We had the disadvantage of being kept awake by a group drinking, singing, making noise just outside the hotel, just under our window until 8 AM ! Maybe it was the bad timing of arriving on a Friday, who knows. Maybe it's a good fit for partyers or people who can sleep with a chainsaw in their bed, but it wasn't a good sleep for me. The breakfast is very lacking in fresh vegetables. I was also frustrated they had flavored yoghurt but not simple yoghurt. Otherwise you have pancakes, different toppings for them (jams, honey), sandwiches, salami, cheese, boiled eggs, good bread, some fruit, bell peppers, oats, milk, water, juice.

Verified reviewLovely place right in the centre of town. 15 minute walk from the station and 5 mins to a hub bus stop.Access was easy with door codes being shared before arrival. Street had lots of bars, but inside was quiet.
My room had a window, but it was internal into the lounge - so had breakfast noise from 6.30am, and I couldn't/didn't want to, open the curtains

Verified reviewLocation, breakfast
Mattress arrangement was awful, you had a mattress then a top, which was totally unstable, and at the same time the sheet was not fastened to anything. Result was that you were floating around about to fall over with no sheet on. You can try to fix it during the night but to no avail. Ruined my sleep. Plain awful!

Verified reviewLocation
The rooms are looking over closed inner courtyard, and there is no fresh airflow or ventilation in the rooms. Ventilation in bathroom does not work. room was completely sealed as submarine - no air. Also, from 6 a.m. breakfast starts in the courtyard - in addition to absence of oxygen you wake up form food smells and sounds of people eating and chatting. Hotel must warn guests about this feature of the rooms and discuss what kind of rooms are assigned.

Breakfast plates and utensils were dirty had to look for a clean knife and plate for over a minute. There were smudges from previous meals left on them. Breakfast items were not varied. If you are vegetarian or dont eat pork there aren’t many options. No signs or description over items. What if you have allergies?

Verified reviewThe breakfast was a continental breakfast and whilst good, nothing much for those who don't eat meat and no non dairy substitutes. The room was clean and bed was very comfortable. Location was very good for close proximity to nightlife, buses, shops and river. Loved the entry system which was a keypad.
Not all rooms had windows that enabled sunlight into the room. No English breakfast tea - only fruit flavoured - had to buy our own tea bags from local supermarket. Our room unfortunately looked out onto an office block which meant we couldn't keep blinds open, would have been better to have frosted / half frosted glass. At times we found tables hadn't been cleared and found it challenging to sit for breakfast. We also found the set up challenging as everyone was trying to squeeze into a corner breakfast table. Would've been better to have the tables along the wall under the TV.

Verified reviewLocated in the middle of the city center. 24h check in. Rooms are clean. Very helpful and respectful staff.
Room and bathroom very small. Bathroom outdated. Noise from the common area until late in the night. Breakfast room too small so had to wait for people to be finished. Much of it was also not refilled in time having to wait for bread and yoghurt as well.
