Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomMy room had a window, but it was internal into the lounge - so had breakfast noise from 6.30am, and I couldn't/didn't want to, open the curtains
Lovely place right in the centre of town. 15 minute walk from the station and 5 mins to a hub bus stop.Access was easy with door codes being shared before arrival. Street had lots of bars, but inside was quiet.

United KingdomNot all rooms had windows that enabled sunlight into the room. No English breakfast tea - only fruit flavoured - had to buy our own tea bags from local supermarket. Our room unfortunately looked out onto an office block which meant we couldn't keep blinds open, would have been better to have frosted / half frosted glass. At times we found tables hadn't been cleared and found it challenging to sit for breakfast. We also found the set up challenging as everyone was trying to squeeze into a corner breakfast table. Would've been better to have the tables along the wall under the TV.
The breakfast was a continental breakfast and whilst good, nothing much for those who don't eat meat and no non dairy substitutes. The room was clean and bed was very comfortable. Location was very good for close proximity to nightlife, buses, shops and river. Loved the entry system which was a keypad.

NetherlandsRoom and bathroom very small. Bathroom outdated. Noise from the common area until late in the night. Breakfast room too small so had to wait for people to be finished. Much of it was also not refilled in time having to wait for bread and yoghurt as well.
Located in the middle of the city center. 24h check in. Rooms are clean. Very helpful and respectful staff.

Czech RepublicThe room was very small, if we had bigger luggages, I would not know where to put it. Room's door are anything but soundproof,so we heard everything from the corridor.
The location is perfect, in the old town centre, although it's in the busy street full of bars. We stayed on Monday and it was quiet in the room but I can't say how it is during weekends. Everything was clean. Breakfast wasn't really rich, but all served food was good.

NorwayMissed a kettle in the room. Breakfast was ok traditional scandinavian breakfast ( bread and "pålegg"), not quite for me but not bad regarding the cost of the rooms. Sheets a bit too small for the beds, had to adjust them back into place every morning.
Perfectly fine hotel for a couple of nights. Walking distance to trainstation and lots of shops/restaurants all around. Even though the hotel is located in a busy bar-street, we were not too bothered with noise when we kept the windows shut. But keep in mind the location if you are particulary sensitive to sounds at evening/night-time. If you need windows open, it will be noisy. Our room was facing the bar-street. The room had a fan.

GermanyThis hotel is located at the entrance to what seems to be the main party street of Aalborg, which is lined with pubs and clubs. My room was near the reception and faced the street and, even on a Wednesday, the noise from drunken people in the street continued without pause until sunrise. Which was when the hotel staff started preparing the breakfast, which continued the noise but now from inside the hotel. Another room, on the back side of the hotel and away from the reception and breakfast area might have been fine. But with the room I got I would not stay at this hotel again,
The hotel as such is fine: Room was good and clean, staff was great, breakfast was limited but okay.
