Great location, just next to the Viking museum and along Roskilde fjord. Comfortable bed, clean room. Several restaurants nearby and free car park. Walking distance from the cathedral, the train station and the city centre. Very convenient for a short stay.

No cups to drink with in room, luckily we had water bottles. Being the house furthest from the main house it was a trek to take everything to the kitchen or bring it back to room. Kitchen was well equipped however. Shower was ok but tiles seem quite old and could do with a deep clean or refreshing.

Location was perfect for Viking Ship museum and only took half hour to drive to Copenhagen.

We booked a private room with bathroom at Roskilde Danhostel as we were 3 family members travelling together and wanted to stay near the Viking Ship Museum. The location was brilliant! Communication between the hostel was awesome! The kitchen facilities were great and had everything we needed to make a meal. The lounge had lovely leather couches and so comfortable. We were actually blown away by how modern and cool the hostel was! Would definitely recommend staying here.

Very convenient when in transit. Booked one night and arrived very late, communication was great, checking in and out also. The room was cozy, the location was nice.

We luckily asked all our questions on arrival as it wasn’t staffed beyond 6pm, although arrival day was Sunday to be fair and arrangements were given for access for late arrival.

The organised, fuss free set up with everything that we needed (apart from a hairdryer), fantastic location in a beautiful town. Lots to do within a few minutes walk. Breakfast was lovely, self service but staff around to help if needed. The guest kitchen was very well equipped.

The matresses was very hard.. The lower windows should have been frostet, so people walking by could not look straint in. Due to this the curten was drawen the hole day.

There were bedbugs in at least one of the beds. Notified the receptionist; she was going to have the room cleaned bij an exterminator, she said.

They gave me the key to a room that was still dirty from the previous guests. Only after half an hour, while the room was still not cleaned, they gave me another key for an already prepared room. The "clean" linen I was given had blood stains on it, and I saw that only the morning after. When told the staff they just said "Yeah, sorry, We know it should have been clean, but sometimes happens."

- one of us got bitten by bed bugs quite badly while asleep - with bloody stains on the bedsheets. She ended up with a severe allergic reaction and skin rash. When I told the front desk about it, her reaction was "ok, I will tell the cleaning company". Zero empathy, I must say. - too much fuss from staff over breakfast - I can put cereal in my bowl myself, thank you, and I usually dont eat too much.

Arriving by train during the weekend, I found it a bit difficult to get to the hostel using public transport.

The family bedroom has plenty of space in the sleeping area and in the bathroom. The hostel is situated in the most beautiful place and there is a lot to do in the surroundings by walk. It is also easy to move and let kids move freely in the surroundings. Big playground right after the museum with an amazing view. The breakfast is paid. It has the best bread one can have (made in place).
