How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

Employees were very kind, room and breakfast were perfect, a parking place was also available. Geographic situation to visit the town and the main.

The family was a bit crammed for 3, very small bathroom, but enough for one night
Simple hotel with stylish scandic design. Very convenient to have a family room with bunk beds. Lovely seating areas and lounges inside and outside hotel with tea and coffee available all day. Amazing breakfast buffet. Quick walk to waterfront and city center.

The location is a bit off the center and it's not so easy to find restaurants that are open a bit later in the evening. By foot from the station, count for 15-20 minutes.
The personel was very friendly.

Some of the games at the reception are long overdue a change. The pack of UNO cards were so dirty that they belong in the trash. The breakfast is repetitive and needs a little changes

We chose to use the luggage lockers at the train station as the hotel charges a large fee to drop off luggage early before your room is ready.
Modern, clean and friendly. Great breakfast, free tea and coffee in the lobby ( no kettle in the room). We had a room with a balcony overlooking the car park which was quiet. Good AC. Comfy beds. Nice park next to the hotel which you walk through to get to the train station.

paying for the carpark was challenging, downloading the particular app and not being able to pay the hotel directly. We wasn't a lot of time going through the process.

Bathroom/toilet was to small - difficult to close the door when you were sitting on the toilet.
Friendly staff. Clean and tidy. Fine desk for working in the room. Breakfast was good.

Bread at breakfast was very good, great selection. Location was very close to centre and waterfront. Staff very friendly and quiet as soon as the concert in the nextdoor park was over!

The location was a disappointment. It was about a mile to the part of the city with the interesting attractions. It's more on the outskirts of the city. They also didn't explain how to get a flat rate on the parking, and I only discovered that something was amiss because I speak some Danish. No instructions were given in English until I asked about it. The room numbering system is confusing at first, as room numbers don't correspond to floors.
I liked the breakfast, that the hotel is non-profit, and its cleanliness. The room has well-placed outlets and side tables, and it was the first room we've had that had an actual double bed, not just two mattresses smooshed together.

Check in process could be improved. There will be those who will have complicated requests and those whose check in is fairly straightforward. Try to segregate these two kinds so that others don't have to wait unnecessarily.

Very nice hotel in the eastern part of Ålborg city centre. The hotel is easily accessible by car and would also be so by train. There are plenty of nice eateries and bars in the vicinity of the hotel. My single room was a decent size with a small desk and the breakfast buffet was good and varied and very well laid out. All in all a hotel that I can recommend.

Directly on the street (not noisy due to good windows) but the view is not wonderful
