The fact that due to unavailability, we were only able to book a double room for the extra night. This meant we had to pack everything up for the last night, which was not a fault of the hotel but the double room for the extra night was a real shocker. I am puzzled why they have such a huge difference in the quality of their accommodation , of course it made our final day stay was pretty uncomfortable compared to the fabulous stay we had in the hotel the previous 5 days.

Absolutely love this place, this is our fourth stay in the smart balcony rooms, they are perfect. Unfortunately we could not extend our stay to an extra night due to flight cancellation and needing an Extra night stay so had to unfortunately book a double room due to un availability. The young man at reception is extremely professional, very friendly and accommodating. Was a real pleasure, thank you.

The bed was very hard. My room was by the lift, and you could hear other guests passing.

Parking spaces were very narrow - it was a bit hard getting out of the car as the driver. The easiest improvement point would be the attitude of the receptionist, who was not as welcoming as one would expect.

The rooms were very clean and well appointed, and the location suited us well as for our trip. The area is quiet, with some good restaurants, stores and a park nearby. Highly recommend the blaue traube - huge portions, good food. The hotel is pet friendly and we didn't have any trouble with our dog. Breakfast was good, and the fact that we could reserve parking ahead of time was a huge bonus for us. We only stayed one day but it looks like a good location to spend a longer period of time as well.

It was exactly what I expected from the photos, very cozy and romantic. The staff was always nice and helpful. I would recommend it to anyone visiting Erlangen or just looking for a little romantic break.

Though the mattress was on the hard side and the bottom sheet was rough, we slept comfortably. We were disappointed with the quality of the breakfast and only had it once. Eggs were overcooked and cold and the bacon was undercooked and unappetizing. Otherwise, the breakfast was acceptable. This hotel is very modern in its approach and decor...no actual keys, but rather codes. We got the hang of the codes fairly easily but elderly guests might be thrown by the learning curve.

All in all, we really enjoyed our stay. Staff was helpful and informative. Our large suite was amazing. Had two bathrooms (though only one toilet), a functional kitchenette, an infrared sauna (wow!), living room, dining room, two TVs, good AC, and to top it off, a lovely semi-private rooftop deck with tables and chairs. We had the room for 6 nights and would definitely stay again in that room.

It is an example of new tourist industry that minimises actual people. This is also less bother and more efficient, including extensive communication online. New times are rapidly coming. Corridors and lifts can be a bit confusing but it is what it is. Also, you need to have internet, so it is obvious that hotel caters to EU citizens, considering how difficult is to verify a German telephone card.

It is very nice establishment. I got room 136 and bathroom in that room has pumps for all the building it seems and the noise never stops. Amazing people from the hotel (Ms Annalena, the night manager) through whats up managed me to room 224 which was fantastic, quiet and had a balcony. Everything was highly efficient and, when you have a chance to meet actual people from the hotel, an example of Bavarian warm hospitality.

I'm not a fan of a 100% electronic humanless interaction. Makes it feel soulless. But i get it. I just dont like it personally. Also, an acces card would be helpful when going out the room so you are not fully dependent of a 10 digit acces code on your phone
