Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

TaiwanThe hotel doesn’t have its own parking space, but there were some public car park nearby to pay 20 euros a day. Location is good but the sound proof of room was a bit poor so that you can hear next door. Generally, it’s still good value.

United KingdomThe bathroom is very tight and ours needed repairs and a deeper clean. A fan available in the room would have been nice along with an iron but perfectly serviceable. Lets itself down on the cleanliness in the bathroom along with the broken extractor fan.
There is parking underground over the road on Reeperbahn, €20 for 24hours. Scooters are readily available in the neighbouring streets. Shops and bars are scattered all along Reeperbahn. The hotel is fine for one night, we attended an event at Barclays Arena and it did the job. Hairdryer, mirrors, hooks, shower gel, towels, TV, charging points next to the bed too.

LithuaniaThe location was very uncomfortable – there were homeless people all along the street and on both sides of the hotel entrance, which felt scary and unsafe. The toilet seat was broken, and the Wi-Fi connection was weak and kept cutting out.
The staff was friendly, and the room was nice and had everything I needed. I also got a room facing the quiet side, which was a big plus.

SwedenNoisy neighbours due to thin walls and not particular clean rooms.
Accommodation is centrally located at Reeperbahn! This is the right place for spending nights out in Hamburg when you need some hours of sleep in between :) Easy check-in/check-out and helpful stuff. Don't be surprised by the outside look - inside is perfectly fine and save.

Netherlands- bathroom had very moisty smell - room looks like on the pictures, but quite old already - bathroom had hairs on the walls when we checked in - bathroom size is quite small, thus not comfortable - no elevator available at the hotel, so we needed to carry all bags all the way to 4th floor
The hotel is located in the of Reeperbahn (which can be good and bad thing, depends what you are looking for). Considering the location room was quiet (it was cold, so windows were closed).Room had all necessities: bed, fresh towels, fresh bed sheets, bathroom, tea kettle and etc. Check in was easy, paid covered parking is available on the opposite side of the street. Price for room was very reasonable, heating worked as expected and hotel personal was available from 11 am- 7 pm.

The receptionist was nice and explained everything clearly. The room was clean. Despite the location of the hotel being in the red light area it felt considerably safe but I wouldn't recommend the hotel for solo travellers.

Austriaa bit pricy for the size, free coffee and tea bags would have also been nice and would be minimal effort given the somewhat high price of the room. it's a small hotel, so for leaving luggage during the day a bit more complicated, as you then need to make sure you come back before they leave for the night.
location was good, you can get a good idea of Reeperbahn while you are also not forced to take part, quiet room out back, free hot water for tea in the "lobby"

EstoniaMy room had a bit of a damp smell in it, so it was impossible to stay without having the window open. Considering it is city centre and Reeperbahn area, it can be pretty noisy, the hotel walls are not very sound insulating as well.
Ideal location for visiting Reeperbahn Festival, as it is right in the middle of the buzz. Very lovely staff, the place itself is super simple - everything you need for a couple days stay, but nothing extra.

GermanyUnfortunately, there’re no fridges available, good news is that you can get hot water in a machine downstairs. No elevators.
Although in the middle of rustling and bustling Reeperbahn, the hotel offered a refuge. It’s a simple stay, nothing extra, but comfortable enough. Interior is a little weary, but clean and good for the price. Reception is open a limited amount of hours, but the check-in is pretty straightforward.

United KingdomThe room was quite small with not much space to unpack. A bottle of water would've been appreciated.
I had a room at the back of the hotel, which was incredibly quiet despite being on the Reeperbahn on a very busy weekend. The bed was clean and the bed was very comfortable. The bathroom was a good size, and the shower was great.

United KingdomThere was a little bit of noise, both from the outside and particularly from a drunk couple staying on the room beside mine. I imagine the sound proof window could be reinforced.
Very well located near two train stations. Great price for the value. Got a place to stay last minute, after a problem I had with my previous accomodation. Affordable, I recommend it for solo business travelers.

Despite being right on the Reeperbahn the hotel is safe and there isn’t much noise from the street when window is closed. Room is basic but clean and good value for money. Good place to sleep for the night.

AustriaBathroom felt a bit dirty because of some dirty stains. Had a nail head sticking out the side of my bed. Didn't check the pictures of the bathroom, but it is very tiny and humid. No ventilation in the room except for the 1 window that you don't wanna open at night.
The location was practicable. Also since it's close to the S-Bahn so you can P+R which is very cheap in Hamburg. Windows were solid, barely heard the noises outside when closed. Didn't even need my ear plugs. Bed was alright. Fulfilled it's purpose for a last minute booking.
