How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Check-out time at 0900 hrs (check in at 1500hrs). I don't get it. Seems very unfair to me since I couldn't sleep well because I needed to wake up so early to set myself up for leaving. At least they could have staff for luggage storage. In addition, the electrical outlets were few and 2 of them far from tables or beds. The other one was used by the lamp.

Our room was facing the street and it was very loud because of cars passing by, the whole night. The room was too warm, although the rest of the building was much cooler. Not enough toilets and showers.

Almost no (common) trash cans so people leave trash at entrance area, shared toilets were dirty
Location is great; walking distance from the old town.Free parking at the location (limited spaces). Tip; if you want to go to the castle a visit to the alpsee is a great combo! Nice walk and/or swim in cristal clear water!

Shower seeemed to be broken, had to use shower wand that rested on the floor of the shower. Never saw any staff, though they did respond to our e-mails.

The shared shower was broken. No information on accessing the internet. No information on where I could keep my bike.
Easy to access, comfortable rooms. Location is great and being next to a main road surprisingly quiet. Very clean.

-the doors are feels like made from cardboard and had a big holes under it: whenever somebody walks near we heard it as if no door at all -the bathroom sanitation was up to a question
-location is good -the minimal needs for 1-2 nights stand is covered -check in and checkout was really easy

The bin in the bathroom & bedroom were small & not being emptied, but I just took some of my rubbish with me & kept my room bin to use for recycling. I’m not sure if I was in the right room, as it was different to the pictures (not a double bed) but I was alone, so it didn’t matter to me.
My room was clean & quiet + had the heater when needed. I had a nice break from travelling & staying in dorms. There was only 1 other person in my hallway & sharing the bathroom, but never saw them, the bathroom was free whenever I needed & there were no noisy people or doors so got lots of sleep. Since there were only 2 people using it, bathroom managed to stay fairly clean. Short walk to the supermarket + it’s in the town centre. Short walk to paths along the river.

Very very thin walls, shared bathroom (no shampoo or soap), main door always open so anyone could just walk in

No soap in the bathroom to wash hands. My room was close to the bathroom- it was convenient but I could hear the door clapping in the morning & at night (you can hear pretty well what happens in the corridor). Check out at 9 a.m. - too early.
Nice hostel for it's price. Located just in the center of Fussen - great to walk around the city, go to the castles, to Bahnhof, supermarket and a lot of cafes nearby. District is calm & silent. Room was pretty big, bed comfortable, tea & teapot in the room. Always hot water in the bathroom, pretty clean (though for 5 rooms, but I didn'thave problems with tge access to it). It was very warm in the room, towels were provided. The host allowed me to leave the belongings in the hostel for a couple of hours upon check out to walk around the city. Wifi was very rapid.

- Personnel difficult to find (but good independent check-in, check-out) - Too few bathrooms for the amount of rooms, cleanliness not excelling - It can be very hot in summer (especially at the last floor)
The best price if you wanna sleep in Füssen. Hostel overall pretty functional, room big, clean and nicely decorated. The bed is comfortable. The location is terrific, close to the center, restaurants and castle.

The heating was off when we arrived and when we turned it on in the evening it was not enough to heat the room properly. It was a little bit cold in the evening. There was also trash at the entrance and the toilet smelled a little bit too much like piss. Checkout at 9am was too early in my opinion

There is no common area and/or kitchen like it's usual in most "hostels". Most of the time the reception was closed. Early check out.
Nice and clean room, clean shared bathroom, good location close to the old city. The instructions to access the room were readily available.

The shared bathroom was left very dirty during the day, the hostel should consider having a broom or mop available on site for the guest to mop the floor after showering

No staff on-site. A bit hard to find. Make sure you go to the back of the property. Booked a double room and got 2 single beds.
Great location. Very close to station and old town. Good value for money compared to other accommodation in the centre. Great to be provided with a Fussen card. Staff responded quickly to messages. Were able to store our bags there when we went to Neuchswanstein.
