How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

The bathroom is integrated in the room but without any doors. It was strange.

Visitors should be aware that room service is only performed once every 3 days and might like to ask for additional clean towels. We could not find this information in the room or on Booking.com/the hotel website. Outside temperatures were >30C during the day and >20C at night during our stay. The rooms are not equipped with effective air conditioning so some visitors might find the room temperature unpleasant in the summer months.
Excellent: food, position, atmosphere, view across lake, spacious parking, large rooms with ample storage space, secure bicycle cellar, staff are friendly and helpful

Room was not ready at 16h, we had to wait and we were wet from rain. Also the room furniture is quite modern but not very useful e.g. toilet and shower has the same sliding door, it is not ideal, you cannot close both
Restaurant food was excellent. Saunas are small but we like it on a rainy day.

Everything was nice, except there was no air conditioning in the room. Our stay was in August, and it was quite warm in the room, even at night. So, we didn't sleep too well. We also thought the view of the lake would be better. We could see the lake from our room, but there were several other buildings/homes in the way. Other than that, it was great.
The hotel staff were great. There was plenty of parking for our car. The was a short walk from the Hotel.

The room could have been a bit cleaner.
Very friendly staff, delicious and fresh breakfast (made out of fruits/vegis from the island). Great location of the facility and parking opportunities. We liked to seating outside also very much.

- Wellness stuff should be ordered beforehand and it is closed already at ca. 21 PM (if I'm not wrong) – so not really flexible and we could not try it :( - No air condition in the room (only heating) - Very early check out (at 10:30), no possibility to prolongue it (even for 1-2 hours und even for money) - The 17,5-euro-breakfast is tooo much expensive – even if it were great, I doubt about the value for money (we haven't tried)
The general impression is wonderful: nice place, green territory, friendly staff, marvellous view to the lake, cosy big room, free parking, free tickets to regional transport. The hammock is top :) The whole concept is made with love and relax. We've definetely enyoed it!

Bedrooms have no aircon, tbf they don't advertise that they do so I missed that but they definitely need it in the summer. A fridge was advertised but there wasn't one. The rooms are modern and clearly laid out to save space so the bathroom sink is actually in the entrance corridor in the family room we had and in the double it is opposite the shower and toilet but in an open plan bedroom. All the lighting in the rooms is inadequate for anything other than seeing where you are going. The double was meant to be disabled accessible and while it is on the right level lots of other items such as sink height, shower access, mirror height, lack of hand rails etc mean it isn't truly disabled friendly. The family room is a duplex with a bedroom on an internal 2nd floor but without aircon the room is unbearable, there is an electric operated skylight but it barely opens more than 15cm and the electric blind didn't close so once the sun came up you were awakened. Finally the price is way over what I would consider reasonable for the facilities, the family room was over £300 a night which is ridiculous tbh and I am regretting booking the place as a result.
Quiet rural location was ideal, 500m from the lake with a restaurant and other facilities to relax at. 15min drive into central Konstanz is easy to do and there is a bakery and fruit stalls close by. Breakfast has a good selection of cold meats, cheeses and salad. Scrambled egg and bacon also available. Waffles are made to order and there is a reasonable selection of bread loaves and rolls. Coffee is ok but not the best I have had. Restaurant terrace is lovely in the evening.

The toilet set up in the rooms is a bit strange, directly off the bedroom with just a glass door (only partly frosted) separating you. No kettle or fridge in the room.
The staff were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was very good. The rooms were clean and modern.

Some tea/coffee making facilities in the room would have made it even better :)
Everything. Beautiful location. Beautiful rooms. Wonderful hammock on the balcony to relax in. Amazing food in the restaurant with local wine from the island. Sadly one of the saunas in the spa area was out of order, but the rest of the spa was clean and modern and relaxing.
