It's not a classy hotel, a bit old, and worn out, but it wasnt advertised as such so not really unexpected.

Very small an pretty town, so i was happy to find a hotel at all. Beds were comfortable, and it was very quiet at night.

Room 6 had a fridge which had a horrendous smell when opened! Please fix that!

Everything is a bit quaint. Owner asked for tourist tax (not mentioned on booking). No staff available.

Great location (next to the local castle). Although there was no staff on site we managed to check in (instructed us by phone).

There was no staff at the hotel. They left coffee machine available for guests though. The matress was a bit uncomfortable. It is a bit old stylish, but ok.

Great hotel with a really nice owner! Great value for money. A small but comfortable room. I had dinner and breakfast. Dinner was 3 courses where you get the daily special. Good wholesome food. Breakfast was a treat with 75 sorts of toppings for bread. Never seen before!

Sometimes, I could hear my room neighbors in bed. I wish there would've been more vegan food for breakfast.

The owner was gladly accomodating our late arrival. The rooms were in exceptional interior desing. We were close to the Eiffel national park and enjoyed the quiet surroundings. The town's train station was only a short walk away.

We were so grateful to the owner for accommodating a late check in at very late notice and for his hospitality. Communication was very timely and in perfect English. The facilities were very clean and comfortable. The location is outstanding with lovely surroundings.

Can't think of any significantly.

Primarily the kind and supportive owner of the place and speaking several languages. The hotel location is in Heimbach citycenter and across a medieval castle Hengebach next to the river Rur. Nearby also easy to find restaurants and hiking trails to the surrounding hill ridges for splendid view over the area.

Broken WiFi, too expensive for the value

Overall, it was a good hotel to stay, but the value for money is just not there. It is more of a 50-60 euro range hotel than 90-100 euro. Staff were friendly, and he even called me to check my arrival. The location is also very good, just opposite the castle.

We enjoy these old inns with all their history, but due to the stairs, it may be inappropriate for anyone with mobility issues.

We were greeted by a very personable gentleman at the front desk, who immediately switched to English when he saw me struggling with my German skills. Our room was situated in the front of the hotel with a gorgeous view of the castle, and the bathroom was modern and well equipped. We had a peaceful sleep and really enjoyed the breakfast, with a large selection of items. We were in the area to watch a vintage car rally, which actually passed by the hotel in the afternoon.

The beds were so hard. It felt like sleeping on a marble slab with a small blanket. I rated it low only because of how uncomfortable the beds were. Not a good night's sleep.

The owner was friendly. The building was nice. Everything was clean. Quaint looking little town.
