How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

Verified reviewClean, warm, nice place.. Doors is locked no one can go inside witch out a code. Not too far from centrum with a car.
Kitchen it could be a little bit cleaner but it's okay.

That I couldn't access the property and when I called for help, no one answered.
Thanks for the friendly review. Some Costumers are not able to type a 6 Digit Code in the Front door and someone must be guilty for that because the Costumer is never guilty for anything. Verified reviewCheck in instructions are clear. Beds are comfy and the capsule is quite spacious. Two plug-ins available. Good wifi.
Pretty far from the centre, which would not be an issue if the staff told us how to get to the centre. There are two bus lines leading nowhere, and a tram line leading to the centre, though 15 minute walk away from the property. Capsules are not completely sound isolated, there is 20 cm gap at the top of the wall towards the next capsule. Only one toilet and two showers for the entire hostel, one of the showers being in the hallway, protected only by the curtain from it.

Verified reviewThe capsules were bigger than I expected. There were no other guests at the time, so it was very peaceful. There was a microwave and a vending machine you could buy snacks from. The machine made some noise but we could sleep through it fine.
There was a padlock in only some capsule doors. You could buy one from a vending machine for 4€ but the machine was out of locks. There's only one WC for 8 capsules (2 people each, so in total could be up to 16 people), which might be problematic when they're all full.

Verified reviewWe recommend this place only because of the fact that me and my partner were alone for the whole stay. Could be worse if we had other people staying there. Additionally, if you sleep in the top box, you are able to check in your neighbor's box, 0 privacy. Bottom boxes are fine.

Verified reviewOnly use if you just need to sleep for some hours. This is a place build out of wooden pallets. It feel like in a animal shelter. or maybe a homeless animal shelter. Really wierd place. Only for hardcore tourist below 30 years. Really, first have a look at what you are really booking - i did not do it because i ordered it via cellphone while driving the car. it is really just a matrace in a box .. nothing more, nothing less
Thank you for your fantastic review. I'm glad that there are guests who give themselves a bad review because they have to book accommodation while driving, possibly smoking, and then wonder why they don't get a suite for 25 euros including tax. But since you're never to blame for anything, you naturally give the accommodation a bad review. That's obvious and cheap.

When I got to the FOX BOX I, the doorcode I received didn't work. A girl from inside opened the door. My and my wife's names were not on any capsule door. We had to leave and look for other accommodation. FOX Box has not yet refunded the money I payed.
Good day and thank you for your truly objective review. Sometimes there are guests who book accommodation at the last minute, i.e. on the evening of their arrival. Shortly afterwards, these guests receive two messages with the access data for the accommodation and their box. Sometimes the guests are then unable to read these messages and/or enter the codes correctly. Of course, this is the fault of the accommodation???
