How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

Verified reviewThe food was diverse, fresh, and warm. The hotel is set back from the street but still in the center, so the location is excellent! The view from the pool overlooking the architecture and greenery is beautiful. The room was bigger than we expected and even nicer than in the photos. The atmosphere of both the hotel and the whole town is calm and pleasant.
None of this really bothered us, but just to mention — some non-essential things around the hotel (like small details in the room or one of the showers near the sauna) weren’t fixed. Still, it didn’t affect our stay at all. The only thing that could be better is the soundproofing in the rooms. That said, for my husband and me, this was definitely one of our favorite trips!

Verified reviewGreat location but far to the closest parking and hard to find the Hotel, grandmother had difficulties walking 450 meters. Friendly and helpful in reception At breakfast 30 minutes before closing it was almost impossible to find a clean table, and the stuff there where stressed and not helpful. Also it was not so much left to find to eat.

However, we would like to assure our guests that it is easy to arrive at the hotel, comfortably unload your luggage, and only then park in a nearby parking lot.Regarding breakfast, we are very sorry if you encountered a delay in finding a clean table. We do our utmost to prepare the tables as quickly as possible, however, the entire table must be completely reset, including changing the tablecloth, which can take some time. We would like to add that we continuously replenish breakfast throughout the serving period so that every guest can choose from our offerings regardless of when they arrive. Verified reviewwe thought we had booked breakfast but apparently not. we had done a check of 5 similar hotels including breakfast and stayed in 3 of them. as we did not get breakfast we felt yours was theast valuable and had less health facilities.
only 1 sauna. no whirlpool

Verified reviewHotel is in a really good place, right in the middle of town, close to the "Vrídelní kolonáda" and "Císarské lázne" and about 20min by walk from the train station (if you wanna walk) and from the balcony you can see all the greens around, which is really nice. Stuff was so nice especially Ola/Olga (thanx a lot). Rooms are spacious some of them has a small balcony and on the fifth floor is wellness. They have a lift of course. Pool just right for a little swim, sauna and if you want, you can order massage as well. Breakfast were delicious I was suprised to find out, there is champane, I dont drink in the morning, but I like that anyway:-) Fruits, ham, cheese, bread, egs...enough to choose from.
You can see that it would need a proper maintenance. In sauna there is wood which needs to be changed, some carpets are quite old, glases has marks, walls need repairs and so on.... Obviously the owner is just taking money and not putting anything back, which is really shame, otherwise it would be really nice place. Well its not bad I just dont think it deserves 4 stars. Little things could be done to make this place great again and you have some other hotels around to try, so next time I'll go I try something else.

Verified reviewAll. This hotel is in the city center, just at the end of the funicular station from parking lot to city center. A swim in the hotel roof swimming pool after a long day is a very good experience. I highly recommend.
the breakfast is too expensive. 20€ per person / per day is the price of a lunch in a restaurant, not for a breakfast.

Verified reviewEverything. Lovely staff, well-prepared food, clean rooms, great pool and spa… the location is perfect, too. The building might be old, but it is beautifully built, and maintained with pride. This is not some soulless, modern chain hotel, but a gem of old world hospitality. The staff were unfailingly kind and helpful throughout our stay, and couldn't have been lovelier. We had breakfast and dinner there for three days, and we were pleasantly surprised by the effort they made. The salads were always fresh and varied, as was the selection of hot dishes. My friend pronounced the various local meat dishes to be very tasty, and there was always at least one type of fish on offer. The pool and sauna area is kept exceedingly clean, and is an oasis of serenity. Get a room with a view if you can.
The only thing that I would respectfully suggest is that the breakfast cereals/ nuts are stored in a more airtight fashion. But this is a minor issue in an otherwise wonderfully run hotel

When we wanted to check in at 4 pm, our room was not ready. We got infected from the toilets or swimming pool and had some digestion problems. More importantly, I have been bitten by bedbugs. Of course the hotel management did not accept it.

After receiving your message, we immediately had the entire hotel - including all rooms - carefully inspected by a professional company. The results of this inspection were negative, no signs of bedbugs were confirmed anywhere. Unfortunately, bedbugs spread very quickly and if they were really present, they would probably also appear in other rooms. However, you were the only one who pointed out this problem - and only the day after your departure. We would like to assure you that infection from our pool or toilets is not possible. The toilets are regularly and thoroughly cleaned, disinfected and after cleaning, always covered with hygienic tape, which guarantees their cleanliness. In addition, our pool is regularly inspected by the Regional Hygiene Station, including water sampling. All results were always in order and met strict hygiene standards. We would like to inform you that according to our internal system, your room was prepared and cleaned at 14:00. Your arrival at the hotel was recorded at 17:00, so the room was prepared on time according to the standard check-in conditions. Please contact the reception immediately during your stay so that we can resolve the situation immediately. We always try to accommodate our guests and ensure a pleasant stay.
