Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United StatesAn absolute gem of a hotel! The room detail (furniture) is classical and functional. The staff was so friendly. They really care about their hotel. They have an incredible bike storage area in the basement, sort of like a cave area showing original walls of the building. Breakfast was wonderful. It is only a short walk to the incredible town square, and a short walk the other way to the train station. Highly recommend!

HungaryTher was simply no such thing. 😉 Some might mention the lack of elevator, but that did not mean a thing, furthermore it is clearly mentioned in the hotel's description.
Absolutely clean. Very kind and helpful staff. Perfectly located for the exploring the historic town. The free parking was also nicely organised. The breakfast was abundant, delicious and nicely served.

North MacedoniaToo hard towels making almost impossible to dry yourself properly after showering. Bed was too hard for me, so take it in consideration if you like softer beds like I do.
Location - 2 minutes on foot to the centre, but still away from any noice so quiet for nice sleep. Always smiling, nice, friendly and helping staff. Huge and tasty breakfast. Room maybe slightly small but with everything you need for your stay, even water kettle for tea and coffee. Huge bathroom. Free closed parking for hotel guests with enough space. And last but not least shining clean everywhere in the hotel.

ItalyIt is a historical building in classical style, full of nostalgic atmosphere. So it's no surprise that there aren't so many charging sockets in the room. I was alone, so I could handle it. If two or more people are staying and there are several electronic devices, it may take more time to take turns charging. But anyway, I like this hotel.
Perfect location, free parking, very friendly staffs. The room is not so big but?decorated in a beautiful and elegant style, you won't feel it is small, just feel cozy.

Czech Republic-
I was welcomed by the hotel owner himself. A passionate cyclist, a man tuned on the same wavelength as me. That indicated that the hotel services are obviously tailor-suited to people like me. It was clear since the very begining that the breakfast would be splended, endurance athletes are used to eat a well and a lot. The reality even exceeded my expectations. A friendly familly-driven hotel with customer focused service in the heart of Tábor.

Czech RepublicI'm not sure what material the duvets were made of, but at night we noticed that they lit up with static electricity (I guess?) when we touched them! We would have preferred a slightly later breakfast and check-out time. But everyone was very kind to us.
Kind staff and easy check-in. Breakfast was lovely. Great location.

CanadaThere is a constant noise from the heat recovery station installed outside right in front of the room 111. My parents were unable to sleep through the night.
Me and my family enjoyed the stay at the hotel. Convenient parking, clean rooms, spacious bathrooms. Communication with staff was excellent and breakfast were amazing, nice buffet spread, lots of choices.

GermanyI was looking for an alternative for staying in Prague where hotel prices skyrocked that day and found this jewel of a hotel in Tábor, an one-hour trainride away from the capital. Got a decent room for a reasonable price in that hotel that combines the personal charm of the Grand Hotel era with the functionality of a modern hotel. The cozy room was very clean, bed was comfortable, staff was friendly and brealfast was good. Btw I found the town Tábor very plesant too. What a nice surprise!

Czech RepublicThe view from my window was directly to some strange construction and also there was a bit of noise (from some kind of AC?) from outside. But after closing the windows it was OK. No AC in rooms (I was aware of it before I arrived. This is just a reminder for other guests and small suggestion for owner).
Very nice and helpful staff. The breakfasts were really good. Everything was nicely cleaned. There was a bidet what is not so common in the Czech Republic.

IsraelThe hotel is perfectly located in the center of the town of Tabor. It has parking if you need. There is a big Billa supermarket right next to the hotel as well as a bus stop and also close to the train station. The hotel is super clean and has everything you need. The breakfast was great and rich. I slept in a twin economy room with a shared bathroom. Linen and towels are included. There is a nice Cafe next to the hotel (Cafe Svet). The staff was amazing, especially Ilona which explained everything to me and was really helpful and kind by arranging taxi for a luggage transfer (I hiked the Luznici valley trail). I'm sorry I couldn't stay longer! Tabor is a cute town.
