Reception could be open more hours around midday. But just to mention something.

The good vibe of the people. The bar downstairs which you don't heat much from the room is a plus.

Could have rated higher if it weren't for a couple of things. Check-In time is 4:00 PM, and you can't check in earlier (nobody is there). I had bed bugs and was given another bed in another room the next day. Cleaning crew not very friendly.

It's not exatctly problem of the hostel, but the shared shower was quite messy, but it was the other's guests fault

I don't know why I went to Ceske but I did. It's a charming little city with a fair bit of history and culture, but it's probably a place best visited as a group if you don't have a grasp of the lingo. That said, I enjoyed a wonderful dinner followed by a few pints of Staropramen Dark watching the traffic go by on the picturesque Premysl Ottokar II Square. I, then, retreated to Cuba for a night cap before retiring for the night to my welcome bed in Room 5, which was a great layout. It has four bunk beds in the main and then two l-shaped bunks in an alcove which afforded a degree of privacy normally bot afforded in a hostel dorm setting. In terms of authenticity, the state of many of the buildings, as well as the pastel colours, reminded me a bit of Havana!

The hall strongly smelled of cigarettes. The toilet was only available coming from the kitchen, not from the hall, which is a bit uncomfortable when there are people in the kitchen at night. There was a loud music playing in the bar below till late night hours.

The room was clean and the bed was comfy.

The walls are really thin, you can hear every step and every noise, the beddings had a few spots on them, and the matress was quite uncomfortable.

The staff only there after 4pm so it’s quite difficult if you have an early check in or just to drop your stuff. Also the check out is rather early, that can be resolved it would have been a gem of the city.

Everything inside was perfect. The hostel is well positioned, easy to discover the historical centre; the kitchen is functional; the shower was nice and strong; the bed was very comfortable.

It was clean and we got a big room. This is more an old building turned to an hostel. The room we got was extremely big with a sofa and table but no private bathroom. The bathroom and the room were clean. It took us some time to find that the hostel is run by a bad and you need to go there to get the access card. It's not a lux hotel it's a clean and confortable place to spend the night. I think for the price is a very good balance. For the parking, I was lucky I found a parking spot in front door and it's for free from 7 pm to 7 am.

Beds were a bit short for my 182cm husband. The noise in the kitchen till late, and some long termers using bathroom facilities to make long private phone calls home.

The bar down stairs..Happy Hour 2 for 1 cocktails 🍸 🤩 The hostel had a washing machine 🤩🤩 The room was a good size and enjoyed the view. It was basic but good.

The hostel didn't have an elevator and the rooms are spread out along three floors. If you are residing on the top, drink responsibly. One other note is that the hostel has a superb bar downstairs, which also means the occasional noisy people leaving the premises at night.

The location is excellent, sights are in arms reach. Restaurants for local cuisine and vegan/gluten free options can be found nearby. The rooms, bathroom and kitchen area were very clean, and the staff very friendly. And free parking nearby. Super good value for money.

The facility states, that there is free parking, which was the reason why I selected it. It is not unfortunately the truth because they tell you to park in the street which is in paid parking zone. I think sharing proper information would be good

Central position, clean rooms, bed with important curtains over the lower beds, that give you a lot of privacy. Lamp, usb and 220 V close to you, clean bathroom (but be aware that its cleanliness depends also from the guests). In breaf, for what I paid, it's a very good quality price value hostel. Can't argue...

Late check in at 16: very late!

For me, everything was ok: its price, central location, cleanliness, dormitory rooms, silence, privacy, use of a kitchen in two floors, good WiFi connection and a kind young woman who introduced me. My only complaint is the VERY LATE check in at 16 (!), that I found very uncomfortable if you come before!

I can't point out any particular objection

I want to share a great experience. my trip from Dublin to Cesky Budejovice took longer than I planned so I arrived after midnight. My navigation walked me in circles, several times. So, I didn't manage to go to Cuba bar and Hostel alone. Luckily for me, a lovely young woman, the manager was concerned. And she found me and took me to my destination! Thank you Lucia! I salute you very much! Well, after about twenty hours of travel, finally... a clean and tidy bathroom, soft towels... A nice, single room, tidy, with fragrant soft bed linen. In the morning, coffee in the impeccably maintained kitchen, which has everything a traveler needs and more. Absolutely guaranteed privacy is what I need and all my needs were perfectly met. I heartily recommend Cuba Bar and Hostel. Jasmina Sinicic

Check-in at 4pm is a bit late. But they are doing bar and hostel together so it is comprehensible, that they are not open super early. I forgot to check and didn't plan according to the checkin times, so my fault here...
