If you plan coming back late to the hotel, be careful you need to call the night staff (number is written on the door) and therefore knowing what numbers to add from a foreign phone. For us, we were not informed about that, we came after a wedding around 1.30 am and had to wait in front of the door because we couldn't join the number. We finally managed to call it. The room was not super clean

The temperature in the hotel rooms was worse, but I understand that it is apparently not possible to apply air conditioning in order to maintain authenticity.

The breakfast was great, rich. I would work a little on the more pleasant behavior of the staff - the waiter, at dinners. Smile and friendliness, otherwise everything is fine

We arrived at the hotel on a wet and rainy evening. We were the only guests staying and the reception staff told us that they were going off duty very soon and we would be in the hotel alone for the night. That felt very spooky! To the point where I asked if it was haunted. I can assure any other worried guests, that in our experience of a dark and stormy night in a huge, empty, palace - there were no bumps in the night! The bedroom is very sparsely furnished, with no bedside tables. there are no tea and coffee making facilities. The bathroom totally lacks privacy. When you open the door to the room from the main corridor, anyone can see straight into the bathroom through the clear glass divider. There is zero privacy, so make sure you know your travelling companion intimately. Don't answer the door when someone is in the loo. We still chuckle about it now.

This was a hotel of two halves. The restaurant was outstanding. Beautifully presented breakfast and excellent service. Room was large, but felt very empty.

we booked a room at a chateau & were put up in a side building that gave us a motel experience. one person in our party stayed in the Chateau, rest of us stayed in side building with smelly rooms. NOT a place we wish to return.

The interior was the first thing which astonished us - including very kind staff who welcomed us in the chateau. The staff was very professional, and happy to tell us exciting stories about the family Mandelik, who was the original owner of this property. The room where we stayed was very large (originally it was a dining room) with old fashioned furniture which made us enjoy the atmosphere to the fullest. We had a really nice stay and are thankful to choose the chateau Kotera not only for the architectural experience but for the amazing meal in the restaurant as well.
