Reviews of Iliada Beach Hotel 4 stars

Location was perfect. One the best beaches of Protaras was right at our doorstep, and just steps from the main road lined with restaurants, bars and shops. The staff were very friendly and helpful and always greeted you with a smile. They even upgraded us to a very spacious family room. The room was very recently renovated and had see view.

The hotel itself is outdated. It needs immediate renovation. the common areas did not feel really clean or comfortable. The pool area lacked appeal and didn’t really encourage swimming, relaxing on the sunbeds, or enjoying any refreshments.

We really enjoyed our stay at Iliada. The hotel is perfectly located just steps away from Fig Tree Bay and Sunrise Beach — in my opinion, the best beaches in Protaras. We had a sea view room, and the view was absolutely amazing. There’s also easy access to the beautiful pedestrian walkway along the coast, which was a great bonus.

However, there were a few issues that took away from an otherwise great experience. The telephone in the room didn’t work, and one of the bed lights was also out. The room could have been cleaner, and the pool wasn’t as well-maintained as expected — there was sand and grass in the water, likely brought in from the beach.

The location was perfect and the room renovated and beds comfortable. Air condition was also very good.

The music at the pool was completely depressing and very loud, did not fit with the time and place. One day there were no hand towels, which is not expected from a 4 star hotel, the grass at the pool areas was watered every day around 1830, while the pool was still opened and operative, one day my book was almost destroyed since I have left my stuff on the sun bed by that time and went for swimming; it was difficult to find sunbeds during the weekend, the bar at the pool should also have some juices it only had coffees and drinks with alcohol. By the day we came at the hotel, we hardly found only one parking area.

Amazing location. Beach front for an affordable price. New bathroom. Breakfast was nice.

Don’t expect luxury. It’s basic accommodation and offerings with the location being its biggest drawcard.

The location is amazing it's on one of the best beaches in Cyprus and also on the main strip of bars and restaurants.

The staff were unfriendly and rude and were quite scruffy. No one wore a uniform. The afternoon snacks were cold and ran out very quickly. When a family that had just arrived asked for more, the chef was not happy and had to stop sitting at one of the dining room tables, scrolling through his phone, and cook more frozen nuggets and frozen chips! The food at dinner was inedible, and we only had a couple of mouthfuls then left to find food elsewhere. We were surprised as it was Cyprus night - we assumed Cypriot chefs could cook Cypriot cuisine!!!!!!!

The rooms were very clean and comfortable with everything needed for a 3 night stay. The bar staff were all excellent. Location was perfect for strolling along the strip for drinks and dinner.

The only negative thing was lack of sunbeds in a good spot due to the same people going out before 7am every morning to put their towels out.

Location was simply beautiful direct view to the sea, we heard rumors about the food but took the risk and everything was perfect the selecton was more than enough and the quality of the food was also great
