How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

Verified reviewThe position of the building is great. Vathia Gonia Beach is right outside the hotel. Very close to the main road of Ayia Napa and close to many supermarkets and restaurants. Alternatively, the place has its own restaurant outside right next to the pool. People can enjoy outside the pool, massage (with charge), bar and many other. The room was great for the cost and the hotel itself was clean. Best thing during our stay was the breakfast. All you can eat from eggs, variety of dairy and meat, fresh vegetables and fruits, lots of healthy snacks and desserts, drinks and so forth. Outstanding quality of all products. The eating area inside and outside the serving area had a great view to enjoy in the morning, along with cozy sofas to sip on a tea or coffee after having breakfast. What everyone would ask for to have a relaxing start of the day. Staff was also very friendly and careful, always trying to make the atmosphere more enjoyable. Highly recommended.

The staff need trainings. especially Bar personals and waiters. They have no eye contacts to clients and can not even smile.

The pool water outside was warm at all times. It was never cold and when you're looking for cooling down in 40 C, it just doesn't do anything. The nearest beach was fulk of seaweeds, so we had to search for good beaches and pools which had cold water. All of this was double cost. Right next to bed was only usb chargers and not normal plugs. Most of the staff members were lovely, but one of them was talking to us like she was my friend, and sorry but that just unacceptable. When I'm paying for the service and when I'm asking a question to a staff member, I don't need to hear jokes. The hotel is very old and not renovated. The metal things had rust all over them, as well as kettle had it from the inside, also pool ans so on

Hotel felt very old, not very clean, bad smell, and i terior was often damaged. We also had to pay money to switch towels, and almost everything was chargeable extra.

Verified reviewOverall good value for money. Comfy and clean rooms, combined with a peaceful and relaxing pool area. Excellent location, right in front of a nice sandy beach and also within walking distance from the center on foot. The most popular beaches of Nissi, Hersonissos and Landa are easily reachable from the hotel either by car or by public transport.
The hotel's interior (including the rooms) is rather dated. The room's balcony was tiny, furnished with old plastic chairs. Similarly, the bathroom was a bit crammed as the bathroom door opened awkwardly and was somehow always in the way. Although the breakfast buffet offered a very good variety, there was no selection of truly local products.

Verified reviewExcellent stay for summer holidays. All the employees very friendly, patient and helpful. Cannot ask for more. Their lamb kleftiko was amazing. Perfect location, own swimming pool and just a couple of meters away from a sandy beach with turquoise water. Late check-in was available, it was a very pleasant stay.

Very very dirty, very noisy and very old building and rooms as well. Worst value for money!

After carefully reviewing our records, we found that during your stay, no complaints were made to our staff regarding cleanliness, noise, or any other issue. We are always available to assist guests on-site and take all concerns seriously when raised in real time. Furthermore, you departed on June 1st, and your review was posted almost a full month later. Due to this delay and the nature of the feedback, we must respectfully question whether this review might have been intended for a different property you stayed at after ours. We are also concerned by your strong recommendation to not visit this place at all which does not reflect the majority of reviews from our other guests, who consistently praise our cleanliness, service, and value. We welcome honest feedback as it helps us improve, but it’s also important for it to be accurate and timely.
