Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.

We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

United StatesThe apartment was pretty dated and worn inside, some hairs in the bathroom, stains on old towels. Could have been a bit cleaner and more user friendly (no dish towel or paper towels in kitchen, no body wash in the shower, old appliances).

United StatesApartment 8 review: awful smell upon arrival; towels that were stained with blood; no blinds/curtains in bathroom windows; sliders to outside could not be closed upon arrival (we fixed them); resort under renovation/construction; no cleaning in entire 4 night stay; some windows cracked upon arrival; A/C only keeps upstairs cold; water pressure was poor; no hot water in bottom floor bathroom; unsafe plugs in bathroom (not GFI plugs); gaps around doors and windows; apartment seemed to have undergone renovations that were unfinished; old furniture; kitchenette not well equipped; fridge is breaking down (ice present in the back of fridge); water reservoir of fridge with growth on it; pre-arrival cleaning was non-existent (hair present in showers, floors dirty, ants everywhere); wifi strength/quality very poor; posting states that there is a restaurant on site -> this is false, there are restaurants nearby but not at the resort; requested late check-in and was approved by host months before arrival... host informed us that we needed to drive 20+ minutes away from resort to pick up the key about 1 hr before arrival; main pool appeared in very poor state; some facilities in resort broken/not available; list goes on and on. Reply to owner: posted pictures of some issues. Owner lies in reply (char limit -> can't respond to all lies). Never requested beach towels as had own, unclear why lie of taking towels to beach/refusing to pay. Spent >50% of time in Curacao in resort. Neve requested any refund/money back, so unclear what our "bad intentions" were. Instructions stated cleaning was to be done on the 2nd & 4th days NOT a need to request it. Key pick-up: owner states that we did not reply to message, it was sent while we drove to resort following pick up procedure he had initially told us. We were not rude to staff, but firm/stern on not driving 25 minutes out of town to pick up keys.
