There's nothing to point out. Our trip coincided with an unusual devastating tropical storm that severely damaged much of Mindelo’s infrastructure, leaving S. Vicente without water, electricity, communications, or access to banking services. Despite facing their own hardships, the hotel staff went above and beyond to keep us safe and supported. Their kindness, dedication, and resilience will always stay with us, and we are truly grateful.

This is a truly delightful hotel in downtown Mindelo. Our room was spacious and featured a wonderful balcony. I was traveling with my kids, and we all loved staying at Santa Cruz Boutique Hotel—especially enjoying the terrace with the Jacuzzi. The staff were outstanding—always attentive to our needs, whether it was helping us schedule activities in São Vicente or simply providing cutlery and extra towels when needed.

The bedding could have been better. There was only a thin sheet on the bed. The walls are extremely thin. I could hear my neighbors phone convo and what they were watching. My neighbor wasn't being loud, it just sounded like he was right next to me.

I enjoyed the location, the size of the hotel, and the staff. Everyone was extremely kind and went out of their way to help. They provided great recommendations for my time in Sao Vicente. You won't be disappointed staying at Santa Cruz.

10 out of 10 Boutique Hotel, it was an amazing stay! Firstly, the staff were all super helpful and so friendly and made my stay extra special, from recommendations to making reservations for me, everyone was so lovely. The room was super clean and had everything you would need, plus the bed is really comfortable. The breakfast is a wide selection and everything was fresh, plus the chef is always available to cook your eggs the way you'd like. The location is central and great restaurants are just a few minutes away. Everything is close by in Mindelo so you can walk to most places. I've stayed in many Boutique hotels but this one was fantastic, you won't be disappointed! When I'm back in Mindelo I'd stay here again

There was a bit of confusion upon check-in. I was initially given an Economy Single Room when in fact I booked a Single Room (with balcony). However, the situation was quickly solved and I was given the right room. Then, at check-out there was an issue with the payment: according to them the VISA card reading was unsuccessful, but my app notified me about the successful transaction and blocked the amount. It then went through with a different machine. It happens. What I didn't like tho was, that they immediately questionned the functionality of my credit card (which had worked with no issues before) and even asked me to withdraw the funds from an ATM, rather than trying a different machine. I suggest future travelers to check their booking details (e.g. booked room category) and not to get anxious or stressed when there are payment issues. Your card is probably fine, it is their system that seems to have some flaws.

I enjoyed every day (and night) I stayed at this place. It's in the middle of Mindelo with great views over the town centre. You are accompanied by the daily vibrant life and live music outside. The breakfast was very rich and varying daily. Everyone was very friendly and helpful. Great value. The roof terrace with its jacuzzi was definitely a standout of this place.

I would have loved a full bar!

We recently stayed at SC Boutique Hotel for 6 days and would not hesitate to recommend it. Our room was clean, chic, and spacious, as was the whole hotel. It’s centrally coated, but not too loud at night. Close to the marina, restaurants, and markets (clothes, fresh produce, fish). Nice roof deck for reading or sunning. We even used the hot tub. The service was very friendly and professional, from front desk (thank you, Vanderleigh and Elody and more!) to the kitchen staff, doormen, and housekeeping. We appreciated the friendly vibe and the tour that was organized for us.

This was the best accommodation we had in Cabo Verde (between S. Vicente and Sto. Antão). We stayed here first one night and on the return from Santo Antão we stayed 2 more nights. The staff is really great and friendly. The hotel has just a good size: 11 rooms. Rooms are spacious, beds are very comfortable, hot water worked well as well as wi-fi. TV is more complicated but the staff will explain to you. There are two terraces, one at the reception level and one on the rooftop (where's also a hot tub - jacuzzi). Breakfasts were excellent, with eggs cooked on demand, good fruits and cereals, great coffee, cakes, etc. (and the staff here again so friendly). I definitely recommend this hotel if you want to enjoy some privacy, with few guests and to be just in the city centre. We were so happy coming back here after staying 8 nights in Santo Antão.

I only disliked the fact that I didn't have more time there

I spent only one night in this beautifulhotel but, could easily stay there for a full holiday. Smiling, helpful and absolutely lovely staff, ready to go above and beyond for me, hence I hoke heartily recommend this place which is in the Historic part of Mindelo and, everything needed is to be found just around the corner 🤗🌹🌹🌹
