You will absolutely LOVE Milu and its crew from the very first second you meet them! They will do everything to make you feel home and you will feel it - especially during breakfast time, it's incredibly delicious and prepared with lots of care and local products! It was my first time in Cape Verde and I plan to come to Milu's place next summer again, I absolutely loved the experience!

The property is ideally situated in Santa Maria, Milu and her husband are absolutely amazing people and took great care of me. The breakfast was copious and varied and very good.

Nothing everything was perfect

I was immediately greeted with a warm welcome from Milu who went above and beyond to make sure my stay was comfortable. I have been treated like family and this place will always have a special place in my heart. I can’t recommend enough!

Loved it all

The hotel is in a quiet location at 1 km from the center in front of the shell cemetery beach. The breakfast was very good with freshly prepared food and fruit.

Personnel we’re amazing and very helpful. The room was really big, clean and comfortable. Breakfast was really good (plus with the sea view). Everything was great, nothing more to say 😁

The breakfast was delicious. I liked the fact you were given different things every day. My room was nice and the neighbourhood was quiet.

It would have been useful if my room keys had a fob to minimise the risk of losing them. In the absence of the owners, the staff seemed a little disorganised at times but they were always cheerful and helpful.

The location close by the sea is superb, even though rather far away from the center. It's a quiet place. The breakfast area is very nice and relaxing. The breakfast itself is very good and varied. The owners try to make your stay comfortable.

The hotel is outdated. My room was very small. I had requested a balcony on Booking but no room had a balcony. On Booking a lot more facilities were mentioned which were not available. Booking should really correct the description of the room and facilities.

Location peaceful and quiet. About 15' walking to centre of Santa Maria, possible by nice walk on beach. Owners Milu and Walter and whole staff are very nice, kind and friendly !! Large clean room , comfortable bed. Excellent breakfast on terrace. Taxi airport transfert organized €20 no no no problem ! Paradise is waiting for you !!

Location is on the beach what a view,breakfast was amazing,with a varied selection ,fresh fruit,and fresh fruit juice,hot food etc. Milu is a great host very friendly welcoming and helpful. The staff are also very pleasant and attentive. Rooms are comfortable and clean.

I booked this to have a room for the day before a late night flight. I didn't actually sleep in the bed. Its a large room with a kitchen and a bunk bed as well as a double bed in a separate room. It was clean. It is right by the beach.

Everything is rather worn and gives off a unloved and rather dilapidated air. I was glad I wasn't staying. There were guests in the next room and I could hear everything they said. Also the location, while on the beach, is the last property in a rather isolated part of Santa Maria.

Milu, the owner, is super nice, attentive, goes above and beyond to help you with anything and makes you feel part of the family. The rooms are better than the pictures: huge, clean, comfortable and silent. My room was cleaned daily except for 1 day. The location is good: 10 min walk from Santa Maria, in a quiet area. Breakfast is fantastic and varied. Wifi was fast and also worked in my room.

The room was very large, clean and comfortable. The breakfast was truly exeptional and the hosts incredibly warm and welcoming! The perfect stay!

nice breakfast

whole property is run down and shabby. we booked a "deluxe" room. very poor, didn't have flat screen tv as advertised, one was finally provded 7 days later but no cable channels as advertised. bed side lights didn't work. fridge needed defrosting. toilet seat broken, took 5 days to change, same as fixing bed side lamps. property is far away from town and beach not as described on web site. immediate area has many half built, abandoned, blocks of flats. bed linen and towels frayed, pillow cases didn't fit pillows. settee uncomfortable, all the stuffing had collapsed, no support. outside wicker chairs all damaged, sunshades had holes in and were ripped and tattered. despite their website saying free airport shuttle we had to pay a taxi both ways. in the bathroom there is a urinal next to the toilet and when sitting on the toilet the urinal is 25cm from your face, not nice.

The location is very nice, in a quiet area but on the same time very short distance walk from the center. I had breakfast twice during the time I stayed and it was tasty and with variety.

Wifi was not working properly, just a detail.

Location was quiet but only 15 mins walk from the town centre. Double room with sea view & kitchen area was perfect. Breakfasts were amazing - you won't go hungry!

Nothing to dislike

Good price-quality relationship, but the place is really stuck in the past, everything is old and a bit worn out, it needs upgrading and modernising. The photos are also misleading; you can see the sea but there is basically no beach that you can use and you can't swim there (there is a large building site next to the hotel at the moment). Also, they should offer a choice at breakfast, instead of automatically bringing such a huge amount of food, it takes ages to prepare (we were waiting forty minutes on one of the days) and it's unnecessary.
