The shared room I was in didn't have a working fan, so the other guests decided to keep the windows open which unfortunately let all the mosquitoes in and I was bit all night. I recommend spraying yourself with mosquito repellent before bed. On my last day, there was a man who followed me from the supermarket adjacent to the hostel. He even entered the staircase and yelled at me when I didn't give him money.

This is a decent budget option in Praia. The staff is friendly and answer any questions you may have. There is a kitchen so you can cook and the bunk beds are okay. There is a nice restaurant with live music nearby, and Praia Quebra Canela beach is within walking distance. The area didn't seem too dangerous for the few days I was there, although I didn't roam around at night, so I can't speak to the safety at night.

The owner is really lovely and super helpful! Location is good - a quick taxi ride to the centre. It was a bit confusing to find because there is no sign at the entrance of the building. Overall, would recommend 😊

If you want to book with breakfast be mindful that it seems to start from 9am in a nearby restaurant. I unfortunately had an early start so I didn't get to try it but I heard it was nice.

Kaida is an awesome host! She gave me the best recommendations and was a lovely person to chat to (in English!) at the beginning of my island hopping trip. The rooms were big and all lower bunk (for now?) the showers were hot and the pressure was good. The kitchen was well equipped and there was a large common space with the reception. The hostel is I. Walking distance to quite a few restaurants and shops, and super conveniently behind a phone SIM card shop which got me a much cheaper deal. She also has hostels in Taraffel (which is a beautiful part of the island) and a new one in Fogo island which would be super convenient to take advantage of next time round!

I found the hostel to be great value for money - a spacious and comfortable room, close to the beach and a short walk to the main town. Kaida was very hospitable, had great tips for my stay in Cabo Verde, and I'm only sad that I was just slightly too early to stay at the Fogo hostel!

I stayed at both the Meeting Point hostels in Praia and Tarrafal. Both were clean, felt very safe and with super nice hosts. I strongly recommend Meeting Point for anyone looking for a cheap and comfortable stay.

The location is not in the Plateau, but it is close to the beach. You can't have your cake and eat it too ;)

The hostel is clean, welcoming and cheap. We went out for dinner with fellow travelers and Kadia the owner who is very nice. The area is totally safe. I highly recommend going there for a short stay in Praia.

The accommodation in Praia is so nice. There was everything in the neighborhood the supermarked,restaurants, the sea,…. I got the dormroom and i slept really well! A lot of space, great kitchen and bathrooms. A nice sitting area and really good wifi. And then you have to hostess she is so lovely and helpfull. Does speak english and has an nice place in tarrafal to stay as wel ( close by bus and sea and shops). The price is really good. But most of all it was the hostess for me who made this place fantastic!

The owner is very nice but is new to Praia (she has a hostel she's been running for 7 years in Tarrafal). Her and her employee who is also not from Praia are still trying to learn the area. Thus why I left suggestions!

The hostel is clean and well located. It's on the hill right above the most popular beach. There is only one expensive hotel (VIP) that is actually on the beach so this was great value ! I just walked down the rainbow stairs to the beach every day ! After traveling in Cape Verde for 2 months to 5 islands I got tired of eating local cuisine (I'm a foodie). I loved the diversity of bars & restaurants in this hip area which was hard to find in the other places I booked in CV. Restaurants nearby that I visited: Livraria Nho Eugenio- great bookstore /cafe Anabela-great brunch spot ! Had vegan food too Cometa- decent fast food Chinese place nearby- lomein was decent Terraza Italia- for CV, pizza is as good as it gets Kampion Africacafe- cheap Nigerian/Senegalese dishes Bars: Poeta Lounge-food is expensive, good for drinks with view Alkimist-cheapest drinks on the beach Kebra Cabana--good hookah and live music Aqva- cool nightclub, bar, restaurant Hope that helps someone! It was a great stay and I wish I could have found this place 2 months ago ! Will have to come back !
