Had issues with their card reader reading my US Visa card. I didn't have any other issues on any other islands. Luckily, I had enough in cash to cover the one night stay. Otherwise there was no other option for me to pay with my card there. Pool water appeared to be a little green. May need some shock or additional chlorine treatment.

Hotel is situated right across the street from the beach in a great location. Staff was friendly and helpful. We were allowed to check-in early since our room was ready. Staff was super friendly, kind and helpful. Good breakfast options were available and also liked the pool.

Nothing! Everything is great

Loved our time at Luna. It’s a small local boutique hotel, which we prefer vs chain hotel (the Sheraton being built in front of Luna) as it has more homestay touch and feel. The staff here is exceptionally friendly and helpful. Breakfast was provided which is good - not much going on in the town. The cook made Easter themed cake and we thought it’s very cute. Will stay here again when we are back in Sao Vicente

Very homely hotel. The staff was great, located close to beach and walking distance from downtown Mindelo. Epic sunset and sunrise views. Personalized care that makes them a first choice above bigger hotels.

Unfortunately, the Sheraton has built a hotel between the Luna hotel and the beach/sea.

We had a wonderful stay at Luna for a week. It's a perfect place to explore Mindelo. It's quiet because not fully in the center yet very close to the beach. The absolute highlight for us was the staff that cared extremely well for us while my wife was a bit sick -- it feels so good in those moment to be around nice and caring people. We will always come back to Luna if we get to Mindelo.

Pool is very small. Construction work opposite the hotel. Unfortunately they are building a new huge hotel, just in front of Luna boutique. So the ocean view is almost gone! The location is a bit out of the centre. We took a taxi several times. To the front entrance of the hotel took several extra streets. Because the hotel street is closed due to the construction work.

Very clean hotel. Nice rooms with balconies. Friendly and very helpfull staff. Receptionist helped me with technical tv and adapter issues. A pool. Excellent wifi. A very good restauarant, almost next door. Where I dined 3 times. Delicious breakfast. Beach in front with Kalimba bar and restauarant.

That we had to leave

Wonderful staff, prompt and friendly communication and they helped out with info or arranging car transfers always with a smile. Breakfast was very good, with local sourced fresh fruits and dishes (excellent cachupa)! The room was comfy, nice mattress and had all amenities one would expect. The hotel is located very close to the main beach of Mindelo, Praia da Laginha- amazing beach with crystal clear blue water.

The only thing negative item was the fact that there is new hotel being built right in front of the balcony/swimming pool, so the view was rather ruined. I've added a photo of this. It does not spoil the hotel, just the view.

Really nice small hotel. Good clean facilities, great breakfast and nice pool area. Staff are really friendly and helpful. There is a gate providing a shortcut to the beach, and the restaurant just outside the gate provides really great food. Easy to walk around Mindelo from the hotel, and it is close to the port for the ferry to Santo Antao.

Unfortunately a big Hotel brand is building up a huge building right in front of this Hotel so that seaview is very limited.

What a beautiful hotel on a great location. Everything was fantastic, form the rooms to the breakfast, pool (small but very clean and with nice view) to the most friendly staff and owner. We loved our stay here!!
