    Lovely Breakfast

No water for over 1h, and no advice about it until I rang the reception to ask and I have been told that there were some ongoing work and they had to turn off the water.

It’s very quiet and clean. The staff is really warm and welcoming, helpful. Pool is perfect for the kids.

Didn’t like so much the food, it’s a bit expensive and it wasn’t that much worth the value. Breakfast is a bit poor.

    Pool area great. Restaurant great.

The room was spacious but had limited or broken facilities. Furnishings were basic or didn’t work. Coffee machine did not work. Bed was not particularly comfortable. Plug sockets in the wrong place. Limited storage. Paint and plaster stains everywhere. No beach for lazing or swimming.

Amazing staff, always smiling and caring Great small boutique hotel Restaurant was also very good both at breakfast and dinner

Cleanliness of the rooms / bathrooms could be better (joints with mould in shower - fresh paint to be done on bathroom doors)

Downgraded to an economy room even though I booked a double room (of course, they would not give me a refund) It was obvious that the economy room was not a double room because the room was only about half of a double room, faced the street, had a glass wall, and was in full view from the street! (Room No. 35) We immediately told the receptionist that we wanted the room as we had booked it (as per the amount we paid) and she told us that friends of the owner were coming to stay and our room was now her friends' room. The next day her friends left and we were given the room we booked. Most shockingly, the economy room had no door to hide the bathroom. The room is so small that it is impossible to open the suitcase, so the toilet is in full view from the bed. I had never experienced such humiliation in any hotel in the world. I would not recommend paying a lot of money for a hotel with such an arrogant owner. PS: What is the purpose of asking for the guest's Steueridentifizierungsnr. on the check-in card?

Wonderful staff and beautiful hotel, who accommodated our needs beyond expectations. Great pool and pool area too. Bed was comfortable and shower was great. Breakfast is buffet and a la carte, where they kindly made us vegan options (oat pancakes / spring rolls). Also recommend the massages. We arranged taxi pick/drop offs with the hotel. Location: Hotel is located 10mins walk from the main street but in a peaceful place, with local cafes (vs tourist ones) like Art Kafe/Restaurant and Cape Fruit Cafe. Shell beach is a stone throws away, gorgeous shells! Shoutout to the great lady/manager at reception!

For the price paid, would be good to have some extra things in the room like a mirror (only the 1 in bathroom) and a bin (also, 1 small one in the bathroom). More local options for dinner would also be nice.

The staff were great. During one meal my wife admired the aprons the serving staff wore. When we were leaving she was presented with one as a gift!

The location and outdoor space is beautiful and very chill

Should probably pay more attention to the details in the rooms, some stuff should be replaced or fixed

    - Staff that we interacted with were trying their best to help solve any issues - Bed and pillow were comfortable - Ocean facing room size was nice.

    - Pool was FREEZING ! to pay 200+ eur per night and not have a temperature controlled pool was something we did not expect, wish i would have read previous comments before booking. - We had to move on 2nd day due to leaking AC that the technician was not able to fix. - Breakfast was very limited, coffee from machines tasted low quality and the buffet was always out of products and was slow to get replenished. Our breakfast order was always the same but somehow always got the wrong food... - Room floor was not well swept or moped as our socks were instantly red ( from the outside sand ) even though housekeeping attended daily - towels in room were very used and thin, need replacement. - We went for dinner only 1 time in 8 nights at the restaurant - food was not bad but the portions extremely small - french style cuisine and prices higher than other better restaurants just 10 min walking away. - Hotel amenities and rooms need some renovation and better management for the hotel to be able to ask this ridiculous high price.

The pool area was nice and the room was big. Breakfast, even though not varied and not rotating throughout the days, was tasty.

Water inside the pool was extremely cold, you cannot really take advantage of it. Room was the worst in my life. Storage space was very small. There was no door separating the bath from the room. The door separating the toilets from the room had no handler, so basically you could not close it. At most, could keep it close with your foot. At a 4* hotel. Pathetic. Room had no balcony, there was no place outside to hang your wet swimming suit, you could only hang it inside where it obviously didn't get dry as fast. View from the room is towards an unpaved road, opening the window was synonym to getting a lot of dust inside. They say the hotel has a beachfront. I imagined this means I get out of my 4* hotel and right on the beach, on a sunbed. But no, it's literally just next to the ocean and that's that. Next to the hotel, there are only shells and rocks, one cannot really enter the water safely. You have to walk for like a kilometer to reach the Santa Maria beach. But the cherry on top was that this great room we got, room number 1, was right on top of the kitchen. Thus it was a continuous loud noise from chairs, vents, cutlery, voices throughout the whole day and most of the night. Basically it was quiet between 12am and 6am, if one can call quiet that continuous vent noise which was less loud than the rest of the noises throughout the day. The receptionist does not speak or understand well english, or just didn't want to help. We asked to change rooms and the answer was there are no more rooms to switch. Even though it was clear people were coming in and out everyday. They advise you to only eat at their hotel, as if the food on the island can cause you any damage. Food here is good, but portions are small and prices are high. We ate at many other restaurants on the island and food was greater, cheaper, larger portions.

Very friendly and helpful staff. The lovely staff was really the best part of the experience. Amazing view from the pool area, with the sea and everything in the background. We had a room with sea view, which was also great. There were no mosquitoes at all in February 2025 (probably because of the wind). Food in the restaurant was quite good, we had a few meals there.

You had to walk quite far to come to a nice and swimming-friendly beach, because the closest one is the “shell-cemetery beach”. The best beaches are west from Pontão de Santa Maria. The hotel is located at the far end of the town. The area around the hotel looks like it’s being built right now, but there are not many shops or restaurants close by the hotel. It’s not a problem though if you’re open to a 10 min walk. It was very windy at the resort, so windy it was hard to read a book or wear a hat without it flying away. The hotel was fully booked when we were there and all the spots around the pool were usually taken around 9-10 am.

One could hear any conversation from the neighboring room, even tough the neigbors did not seem to talk loudly.

Pool area is lovely, fantistic view of the sea, pool not heated so bit of a shock when you dive in but in the heat of the day it's nice to cool down

Restaurant is good for breakfast but feels a bit canteen like for dinner, it would be nice if they could find a way to make the restaurant a bit more cozy for evening given that its difficult to eat on the terrace due to the constant wind, but the food is delicious, perhaps on the pricey side but you pay a bit more for quality, this chef knows how to cook!!
