Didn’t like so much the food, it’s a bit expensive and it wasn’t that much worth the value. Breakfast is a bit poor.

It’s very quiet and clean. The staff is really warm and welcoming, helpful. Pool is perfect for the kids.

For the price paid, would be good to have some extra things in the room like a mirror (only the 1 in bathroom) and a bin (also, 1 small one in the bathroom). More local options for dinner would also be nice.

Wonderful staff and beautiful hotel, who accommodated our needs beyond expectations. Great pool and pool area too. Bed was comfortable and shower was great. Breakfast is buffet and a la carte, where they kindly made us vegan options (oat pancakes / spring rolls). Also recommend the massages. We arranged taxi pick/drop offs with the hotel. Location: Hotel is located 10mins walk from the main street but in a peaceful place, with local cafes (vs tourist ones) like Art Kafe/Restaurant and Cape Fruit Cafe. Shell beach is a stone throws away, gorgeous shells! Shoutout to the great lady/manager at reception!

You had to walk quite far to come to a nice and swimming-friendly beach, because the closest one is the “shell-cemetery beach”. The best beaches are west from Pontão de Santa Maria. The hotel is located at the far end of the town. The area around the hotel looks like it’s being built right now, but there are not many shops or restaurants close by the hotel. It’s not a problem though if you’re open to a 10 min walk. It was very windy at the resort, so windy it was hard to read a book or wear a hat without it flying away. The hotel was fully booked when we were there and all the spots around the pool were usually taken around 9-10 am.

Very friendly and helpful staff. The lovely staff was really the best part of the experience. Amazing view from the pool area, with the sea and everything in the background. We had a room with sea view, which was also great. There were no mosquitoes at all in February 2025 (probably because of the wind). Food in the restaurant was quite good, we had a few meals there.

Restaurant is good for breakfast but feels a bit canteen like for dinner, it would be nice if they could find a way to make the restaurant a bit more cozy for evening given that its difficult to eat on the terrace due to the constant wind, but the food is delicious, perhaps on the pricey side but you pay a bit more for quality, this chef knows how to cook!!

Pool area is lovely, fantistic view of the sea, pool not heated so bit of a shock when you dive in but in the heat of the day it's nice to cool down

The hotel staff is very courteous and friendly, but some had difficulties in understanding English, especially at the restaurant. More then once it happened, that we did actually not get what we ordered. And the beach in front of the hotel was disappointing with basically no access to the sea to take a bath.

Unheated pool. We spent a week at the hotel end of december, the weather was great, 30 degrees but the pool was so so cold, a big disappointment!

The hotel is at the other side of Santa Maria, quiet, calm right next to the Shell cemetary! Room cleanliness +++ Filtered water so no need to be afraid of getting sick because you brushed your teeth with tab water! ++ Food at the Restaurant. (Tartar de Atum!!! Wok with Prawns!! trust me on that ;) Room 10 is huge!

Pillows were poor and towels well worn for the price here this was disappointing. Also noisy fridge so we turned it off as only one complimentary bottle of water ( also poor considering the price here)

Located in a quiet part down an unfinished road ( common in Sal) breakfast was good we purchased dinner a couple of nights and it was good. All staff were lovely. The hotel was clean and always enough sun beds.

- part of the direct surroundings were under construction - 20 mins walk to the center, which is very doable but did not felt very safe late at night - they claim to have a top chef, but this was not our experience. For example: simple french fries were super soggy. - overpriced food and small portions. - not always hot water available and the water pressure is not strong enough for the rain shower.

The menu did not change for the whole stay so you eat the same food every day. Drinks were also not included and they were pricey at the hotel (you were not allowed to bring in any food or drink either or take food out of the restaurant area)

The pool was small but a decent size. There were several relaxing areas beds and chairs both around the pool area and outside of the rooms. Being set away from other shops and close to the beach encouraged you to walk (although the beach was not an area where you could swim/relax)

Unusual smell at times

You definitely can't swim on the beach in front of the hotel.

Great value for money, the room was at the back of the hotel and slightly on the small side but considering the price it was very good value. The pool and poolside beds are great. It's not close to the main beach but it's a walkable distance, and safe too, I walked back after dark around 9pm twice and it was fine, the road was properly lit too. Food at the hotel was quite good.

A beautiful and spacious property, near an amazing cafe - Art Kafe. All staff were lovely, sinners comfortable, and food delicious! A short walk to the centre and prettier beaches.

Forgot my wallet the morning I left the hotel for the airport. Got there and discovered no wallet so switched on my data and the amazing receptionist Denilson had already messaged me to tell me the cleaner found it in my room. He immediately sent it in a taxi to the airport where it safely arrived. What a team that saved my day!
