Cars took forever to take back and for from room/beach/restaurant/beach. Parking slots were limited and dificult to find. Staff treated us like if they weren't getting paid for their work.

The rooms need renewal. One night we were woken up by sounds coming from the ventilation in our room. Judging by the sounds, we think a raccoon and a rat were fighting in there.

The view was amazing and the beach is great! Staff were really friendly!

The villas are a little run down and it is showing its age. The safe in our room was broken and the light fitting in our room fell off. The shuttles were in short supply at times and the lines got so big that some people were left waiting for a second shuttle. There weren’t many loungers at the beach and the ones that were there were old.

The location was great, we had a beautiful sunset over the bay of Playa Hermosa every night. The staff at the resort were very friendly and helpful The resort has nice pools and they have activities during the day at the swim up bar pool The beach of Playa Hermosa is awesome

Everything was a bit dated and the furniture wasn't the most comfortable. The villa was a hotel rental, but privateers that own their villas have pools; a plunge pool, Jacuzzi, or something like that would really set the room apart. We had low water pressure in our villa for the sink and the hot water sapped a lot of pressure out of the shower. One room AC was on its last legs, however the other rooms' AC's worked perfect. Honestly, a little refresh/investment and it's a perfect spot.

The location was great, the staff was exceptional, the villa was very nice overall and very spacious, and there were a handful of shuttles around the property (necessary, the property is on a steep hill). The view of the ocean from our 2nd story porch was amazing (we had 2 porches overlooking the ocean), and you can always catch sunset over the ocean from just about anywhere on the property, including a viewpoint on top of their hill. Very nice kitchen w/full amenities, staff kept that room squeaky clean, fully stocked, and folded bedside clothes and organized our shoes. The service was personable, helpful and prompt. If you can't speak Spanish, most of the staff was fluent in English and a host of other languages. Playa Hermosa and Villas Sol is a nice quiet area that the local Costa Ricans go to, so not many touristy things, extremely safe (beach walks at night with zero hassles), no trash, really nice beachfront restaurants. One night there were bioluminescent microorganisms on Playa Hermosa, so when you walked it looked like stars under your footprints. Another day, a squad of howler monkeys were in the trees making noise all day. Some of the accompanying town beaches nearby were the nicest I've been to and it was reassuring to see it filled with Costa Rican families and not tourists/tourist traps. Basically, a nice place in a low-key, safe, beach town.

It’s a bit old, far from the beach. There is only one restaurant and the food is a bit repetitive. The water in the main pool is not clear, needs better maintenance. The towels can be changed only until 17:00, otherwise you have to carry them to your room and exchange the next day. The cost for the room and food was extremely high for the quality offered.

The first room we got had no hot water. The second place we got, which was a very nice condo, the bed was horrible and we couldn’t sleep, but finally on our third room, which was an even nicer condo, everything was great.

The Restaurant has no ceiling fans. It was uncomfortably hot during all meals. The meals are more suitable for adults. There is very little shade at all pools. More umbrellas or shade needs to be added. It is lacking entertainment for Kids. There is no activity area for Kids.

The view from the hotelroom as well as the Villa and restaurant was phenomenal. The Villa was very spacious and clean. The restaurant staff was very accomodating to prepare ad hoc Kid friendly dishes. The shuttle service throughout the property and to the beach was great. Free kayaks&paddleboards at the beach were a plus!

We loved the view from the room! The room itself was just OK - very standard - But comfortable. The staff onsite was very nice and helpful. 4 days stay. The food could be a little more varied but we don't eat much so we could always find fresh veggies, something that was to our liking...

The shuttle bus stops working at 10 p.m. We went out late one day and we had to walk up the hill to our villa.

Plastic cups and straws. It would have been nice to have a talk to give you information about the history of Costa Rica and the surrounding areas I stead of movie night. It would have been nice to be able to rent boogie boards:+)

Beautiful location, kind people, great food. For an easy couple of days arriving in Costa Rica, it is great. I also loved that there were lots of Costa Rican folks vacationing there too.

Food needed more variety, music was too loud and rooms needed printed information. For example there were no instructions on the numberto call reception or the daily activities or how to check out.

Great view, friendly helpful staff, other guests were friendly and respectful. Tour services offered were excellent.

The view, pools were clean and linens were clean the front desk clerk, even as she was new was awesome and friendly, the servers at dinner were kind and smiling
