The room is basic but clean and big. It has a nice kitchenette, and you can hear the waves nearby, 2 min walk. The lovely Italians owners are there to help you with whatever you need. There is an Italian restaurant next to the accommodation. The centre is 15 min walk along the beach

It would be nice to have more shelves to place my own stuff.

We stayed for more than a week and booked the large room with a view of the sea - this was the perfect home-base for Puerto Viejo. Our room was very comfy and had a well-appointed kitchen. We enjoyed having our morning coffee on the balcony with the view of the beach, the sea, and the monkeys and sloths which occasionally passed through the trees. The location is great, with a few steps to the beach. One needs about 10 minutes on foot to the main area of Puerto Viejo. On the other side, the beatiful Cocles beach is not that far either. The hosts are lovely, offered many suggestions and contacts, and were very helpful. There is a restaurant attached to the property, which was great for lazy dinners, with delicious food. I realise I'm very complimentary, but we just really, really loved it here and just wish we could have stayed even longer.

It was right at the beach and the outside garden area and covered porch were amazing to just chill. The host is a true gem. Very kind and helpful.

This definitely a simple accommodation and the hostel next door has music nights which can make it loud,but ear plugs help.

Not recommended. Place is dump, rating 8,7 is totally misleading. Lot of noise - some rooms are just next to the restaurant/ bar, also hostel next door has live music events. Toilet was not working, rooms are dirty... even after cleaning. Rooms are shit - no light, disgusting smell in the bathroom, furniture is outdated. No blankets, some night were bit cold... Not recommended!!!!

The hosts and staff were amazing. Very kind and helpful. Comfortable and fully equiped. Only a few minutes walk from the city and from playa Cocles.

Great location on the beach . Out of the main centre but still with restaurants and bars nearby.Lovely outdoor area to relax and welcoming host.

Great location! Walking distance to downtown Pto Viejo and Cocles beach. The backyard is literally the ocean, not great for swimming but nice for snorkeling and just enjoying the ocean views. The host is present, very friendly and helpful. I'm grateful to have found this place and stayed 3 nights, this made my stay in Pto Viejo complete!

What I didn't like was the gravel in the yard where people walk or pass by. Throughout the day you can hear it in the room. The place is quite busy, but that might have been because it was a weekend with a family staying there, as it was very quiet from Sunday to Monday.

Right on the water where there was good snorkeling between the rocks. Just down the street from the beach. Located on the end of the main road so everything is close but still quiet at night. Giorgio was an amazing host. Plus we loved their two dogs Sol and Luna!

Room needs a bit of an update and cleaning could be more in detail especially the kitchen area.

Fantastic location right next to the beach, and easy to access the other beaches and restaurants. Great size room with facilities to make food. Super-friendly Italian owners.

Love the location, seafront. The small beach with flat rocks, I enjoyed every second being there. Super friendly and helpful host Silvana. Loved the area the Caribbean side is my favorite in Costa Rica!

Stayed at the room next to the restaurant. Could hear people talking even when music stopped. I just had to play my own music louder:-)

Really close to the beach and everything was great, honestly felt like home

The only opportunity was parking, there will be no space for more than 3 cars, and missing a TV but I mean not a priority just a personal need for some people

nice location, could walk a coastal path from the property to town or other beaches. The room had good facilities, kitchen, shower, sofa, shelves, comfy bed. air con, veranda. I used thier resturant which was very good.

The room was a bit basic in construction and a bit noisy being right next to the resturant and other rooms.- however only until 10pm then it was quiet.

Location was very good. About a 5-10 minute walk to the restaurants in town.

I was in the first room by the restaurant that was loud. The first 2 nights the music went off 10:30-11. The owner asked the restaurant not to be so loud and the 3rd night was better, but I could still hear the conversations in the restaurant until after it closed at 10pm. I also don't think the room was overpriced for what I paid.

Super location right at the beach and close to town, very friendly hosts, comfortable little apartment with everything you need. We will definitely come back :)

Nothing, loved this place!

Felt very Safe and comfy at Silvanas Place. It was Great to stay there as a woman traveling alone. 2 Minute Walk to a nice Spot at a Beach and sloth in the Garden :-) would come Back at any time.
