We stayed here for 3 nights. The accommodation is small but very nice. The car can be parked right outside the door. Tours can also be booked at a discount through Tico. Super breakfast. The distance to the village can be covered on foot in 5 minutes. We would go again in a heartbeat.

I did not like that I had to pay up front for my entire stay when I registered online and had not seen the property. The booking said non-refundable. I don't know if that was a booking.com policy or from Tico BnB but it started my visit with a bad feeling. I was asked to change rooms after 4 days and my second room was cramped. It had a double and a single bed. That left no room for a seating area. It would have been a very nice room with only one bed.

The staff was friendly and incredibly helpful. They went out of their way to help me in many ways. The free breakfast was large and delicious, more than I could eat in the morning. Also, they were flexible about the breakfast hours. Both of my rooms had a refrigerator and ac that worked. They were clean and nicely decorated.

Further investments are needed to justify high prices. Accommodation is very basic Costa Rica charges too much and doesn't deliver quality.

We stayed at this charming Tico Bed & Breakfast for two nights and had a wonderful experience. The location is fantastic—just a 5-minute walk to the city center, which made exploring the area so convenient. The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, making us feel right at home from the moment we arrived. The room was cozy and comfortable, offering excellent value for the price. Breakfast was a highlight of our stay—delicious, fresh, and the perfect start to each day.

We had to fight off many large cockroaches in the bedroom and bathroom over our two night stay. Our room (triple room) wasn’t very clean - the toilet bin wasn’t emptied and there were dirty sheets left on the bed.

Staff were very friendly, location and breakfast were great, overall a good budget option when staying in La Fortuna.

From my point of view the worst in which we sleep during 3weeks trip in Costarica.(we slept in 12 diferent places) Located in the back of building, dark, with small window, room isn't small but tide because of 2 big beds.

Hard to find - no signs or anything. Place displayed in fotos (with a different name) was closed, got a neighbour to help me). Booked for single person and the room was tiny. No PowerPoint inside just a multiple power outlet which was located beding the TV so tricky to use.

The breakfast was amazing plus the location, everything was just around the corner. Due to my plans breakfast was served early which was great.

No air con. It was raining bad in La Fortuna which was expected but this meant cockroaches came up into the room.

As a solo traveller I enjoyed my little room near the center of La Fortuna. The owners are super kind and made me a delicious breakfast every morning.

You might find some insects in the property, you are in a city close to a rainforest, so guests should not be afraid of those.

The owners are super friendly and welcome you like a family member. They are very helpful and the breakfast was great. I loved that they made the effort to prepare the breakfast even though I was getting up very early, that was so thoughtful.

Yes this is a tiny room, but you have everything you need. I don't understand the negative reviews, it clearly says what to expect. Lulú and Wilber were extremely welcoming, wanted to make sure I enjoyed myself and suggested places to visit. Breakfast was delicious. And you're only 5 minutes from the centre! I loved it.

I really enjoyed the central location of this lodging and the ease of checking in. I was easily able to find this place because it is located behind the best soda in town, Soda Sabores Lulu, but when you put the name into GPS another B&B comes up, which was a mess in the morning when I needed to be picked up. I knew the room was small, but when I arrived, it was even smaller than I expected. There was barely space in the room for my carry on suitcase and backpack. The bed takes up most of the space and the back of the room is dedicated to the bathroom. The entire space is probably 5' wide by 7' tall. The photos are accurate (the shelf has been changed) but the space looks bigger in the photos. I chose the smallest room available because I was only staying one night so that I could be in town when my shuttle picked me up at 5am the next day. Everything was clean, there is no hot water and no shower head in the shower, just a pipe where water comes down. It worked for what I needed, btu I was suprised by how basic it was. The bed was not comfortable, I could feel all of the springs, but I was able to sleep. There were two fans in the room, which I appreciated. I could not get the tv to work but the wifi was strong and I could watch shows on my phone This B&B has other, larger rooms available and if/when I come back I would choose one of the larger rooms. That's just my personal preference. This lodging is an incredible deal, especially when you consider the free delicious breakfast.

If the water was warmer for the shower it would be 10/10 but this is just a personal preference as the weather in la fortuna is warm anyway.

Very good for the price. Owners were very friendly and helpful. They helped me with several queries and requests and were very accommodating and flexible. The breakfast was good, especially the rice and beans. Great location and would stay again.

The room was very old and run down. Problem with the A/C. The house next door must be a crack house with people coming and going all night, music blaring and dogs barking all night.
