Very shabby and kitchen not very well appointed and grubby.. It's the only hostel where found cockroaches in the bathroom, bedroom and kitchen.

Hosts were friendly and there were lots of animals.

Ok stay. They have a nice garden but everything is in not so good condition. Rooms are really small and old and it is not a real ac and its very noisy. The staff was pretty good and booked us a really good tour in corcovado.

Room was ok but not the cleanest. Could do with a lick of paint and a dust of the side table. Air con positioned above bed so had to stand on bed to adjust. Kitchen not the greatest as didn't seem to be cleaned at night and if getting up early was locked from the inside so had to ask to get in to make drink.

Beautiful garden which is underused. Lots of wildlife seen there. Good location, near airport and 10 minute walk to the bus stop and pier. 5 minutes to main shops. Mini market opposite with ok prices

Kitchen not very clean, rooms neither, only one toilet/shower for a room of 8. Little information about about what to do etc

Kitchen, beds are comfortable, AC in the room The people at the reception are nice, I could check-in at 8AM and even get a little sleep (the rooms were already cleaned due to the low season)

The room and en-suite was fairly basic but it was clean and the gardens were beautiful with plenty of seating.

It’s a really beautiful hostel, it has a lovely shared kitchen area and beautiful gardens surrounding the whole hotel where nature comes to you! During our stay we saw many different types of birds including macaws as well as a sloth. Also the room comes with aircon which is an absolute must in the Osa peninsula. They also have drinkable water on site.

Saw a cockroach and a crab walking around the room, but understandable given it is in a jungle area. Not many people in the hostel to socialize (I only saw 4 people around in 3 days), but probably because I have been here in June and it is low season.

Good location as it is 5 minutes from the main street, completely surrounded by nature so it feels like being in a little jungle even just by walking around the hostel. Lovely staff, they helped me with choosing my next destination after Puerto Jimenez and gave me advice on other possible places to visit in Costa Rica while backpacking around the contry. Private bathroom inside the room and a locker available for each person in the room.

Kitchen need so many things to be functional, at the price of the dorm maybe nice if you didn't had to make your own bed, little details.

could use some comfy chairs outside, and a hammock or two! it’s all hard wood seating. the room is quite small and could def use a fan, AC is fine but would rather not have to use it.

wonderful setting in a lush jungle filled with monkeys, (including one resident Spider monkey!) tons of birds, lots toucans and macaws up close, and a sleeping sloth up the tree, plus land crabs galore and a pesky raccoon in the kitchen. lovely place to hang in the garden! and enjoy some short trails into the back cabinas. great proximity to walk into town or to the ocean.

Most aspects of the kitchen were better than other places I stayed. But with most backpackers communal kitchen , cutting boards, scullery , and food prep area requires some improvement.

The owner , Jacki 's , , Costa Rican , courtesy and politeness is much appreciated. Also very helpful and informative. The garden and atmosphere was very relaxing and enjoyable. The responsible garbage disposable system in main kitchen is something all establishments should be doing.
