Great location, block from the airport, few blocks from the beach. In a secluded jungle, no frills, just a great place to sleep for the night

Hosts were friendly and there were lots of animals.

Very shabby and kitchen not very well appointed and grubby.. It's the only hostel where found cockroaches in the bathroom, bedroom and kitchen.

Ok stay. They have a nice garden but everything is in not so good condition. Rooms are really small and old and it is not a real ac and its very noisy. The staff was pretty good and booked us a really good tour in corcovado.

The family who run it were fantastic, made me feel really welcomed and comfortable. The garden is also beautiful, you could sit out in it all day

Beautiful garden which is underused. Lots of wildlife seen there. Good location, near airport and 10 minute walk to the bus stop and pier. 5 minutes to main shops. Mini market opposite with ok prices

Room was ok but not the cleanest. Could do with a lick of paint and a dust of the side table. Air con positioned above bed so had to stand on bed to adjust. Kitchen not the greatest as didn't seem to be cleaned at night and if getting up early was locked from the inside so had to ask to get in to make drink.

Very nice hostel with beautiful garden and animals to watch in close distance. It is family owned and therefore really nice to talk to the owner. He makes you feel very welcome. He is preparing to serve some breakfast and open a small and cozy bar soon to have a more social vibe. Hope it will be an even better atmosphere then.

The location of the hostel is amazing, it is right in the jungle. The staff was very welcoming and liked showing us the animals which live at the property such as a baby anteater, Toucans, Parrots, Halloween crabs and leaf-cuter ants.

Great garden, feels like living in the jungle while being centrally located. Great value for money. Owner and staff are super nice, accommodating and friendly.

That was the 1st time ever i experienced situation like this: They were charging 19usd, but on booking was 14+1,4usd taxes. I did not have internet on my phone. So i asked the guy in reception if i could use their WIFI to make a booking. He did not give WIFI password and said "no cause you gonna use our internet to get a cheaper deal on booking platform". I replied " yes but you have listed your location on Booking.com that means you want people to book you thru booking.com" he still declined and forced me to go in the rain to the town to look for free wifi so i could book the hostel at booking.com. when i made reservation, came back and showed him the reservation. He gave me the wifi password.

Room was a little shabby. all the water on the property made the place magnet for mosquitoes so it was impossible to sit around on the grounds (as soon as you left for town or the beach it was much less a problem).

Simple rooms, but a lovely place in total. You can see and hear a lot of animals there. Lovely staff. For the price everything you need in good shape. Would stay again :)

kitchen was not super well equipped, but in general everything was there and fine for a hostel. Just could have been a little cleaner, but still it was all fine in general. no restaurant option as a I expected before.

Kitchen, beds are comfortable, AC in the room The people at the reception are nice, I could check-in at 8AM and even get a little sleep (the rooms were already cleaned due to the low season)

Kitchen not very clean, rooms neither, only one toilet/shower for a room of 8. Little information about about what to do etc
