Very clean, great service, in the center of Tamarindo, but still very quiet, great breakfast. 5 min walk to the beach (not beach front)

Nothing! Everything was great! I did request they shut the garden lights off at night. The rooms were a little too bright for me so I slept with a mask. I liked the upstairs bedroom but it had a large window up high where a lot of light came in. So, I changed rooms. But, staff were always so helpful! I’d go there again in a heartbeat!!

The homemade breakfasts provided by Laura MADE OUR STAY EXCEPTIONAL! The staff were fantastic, friendly, helpful but we really had a special connection with Laura! She was always so kind and her breakfasts were absolutely fantastic! We appreciated even the small things - the extra hooks in the room, the umbrellas and chairs to take to the beach, the fresh water outside shower, the foot pool! We adored the cat we called “Mr Mittens”. He was so friendly and lovable! The pool was cleaned daily and was a wonderful addition to cool off when you didn’t want to go to the beach.

The breakfast was expensive at fifteen dollars - the most expensive we had in Costa Rica! But there are lots of bakeries and breakfast eateries very close by, so don't let that put you off. A kettle in the room would have been nice. Tamarindo is a party town, and we could hear the music from bars and clubs in the evening (we were offered earplugs), but this didn't disturb my sleep. If you are a light sleeper and go to bed early, you might chose a hotel more out of the centre of town.

The staff were really helpful and friendly, and we felt really welcome. There was a nice courtyard with a pool, and the downstairs rooms have a little outdoor space linked to the pool. There was free coffee in the morning, and free ice and drinking water all the time. We had a fridge in the room which was was nice. There were safes in the rooms. Bed were comfy and everything was very clean, decor was modern and felt personal. Breakfast was tasty traditional Costa Rican style (gallo pinto and fruit, or omelettes). The location is good, if you want to be central - next door to a park which has a Saturday market, one block from the beach, loads of good cafes and restaurants around. All around a good budget option.

The rooms are simply designed but very clean. The terrace where breakfast is served is spacious. The children loved the pool. Breakfast is very good and varies every day. The hotel is perfectly located, the beach is 5 minutes away, and you can park your car directly in the hotel courtyard.

Friday night the kids at the skate park were a little loud but not bad!

Really a gem right in the center of town! So close to everything but when you’re in the property it feels quiet and private. The staff are incredible and very accommodating!

There was nothing not to like.

Clean, friendly staff, lovely pool, comfortable beds, good breakfast…… we really enjoyed our stay here for three nights and were upgraded to a room by the pool on our arrival as it was not high season and one was available. We also left behind some documents and the hotel helped us with this. Very grateful and would stay again should I visit Tamarindo in the future.

Being near the pool meant it was noisy at times due to kids playing but such is life. Would go back in a heartbeat!

Great little hotel five minutes from the beach. Poolside room was very comfortable. Lovely bed, lots of room and beach towels. Good shower. Fantastic, shady pool which was essential as it was so hot. Love breakfast made by Laura who was so friendly. In fact all the staff were lovely. Parking.

Apparently it’s there is only coughing water in the morning and it was brutal so it wasn’t super tasty but other than that you had a water dispenser for free

Smaller room and TV than expected and lighting dim but clean. Does need a bit more plates/ cutlery for a 5 people. Excellent breakfast provided and was able to accomadate gluten/dairy free diet for one of my children. Offers room cleaning every day if you want. We had a fantastic stay at Ten North Hotel in the heart of Tamarindo. The location is perfect—just a 5-minute walk to the beach and right in the vibrant city center, making it easy to explore everything the town has to offer. Our room was spacious, comfortable, and spotless, with the added bonus of being poolside. It was great to start the day with a refreshing swim and, in the evening, relax by the pool with a cold ginger ale in hand. Breakfast was delicious, but what truly made our stay special was the hospitality of Juan and Karol—they went above and beyond to share their local tips and recommendations. Such wonderful people! We highly recommend Ten North Hotel for anyone visiting Tamarindo. Looking forward to coming back!
